.35 cal Fx hybrid slug inside out,.68gr.going about 930fps out of the benjamin bulldog. They stop about 3to 4 inches in %20percent gel block or have bounced back out of the cavity they make. They perform similar in other calibers for me I was surprised with the energy dump.

The 25s do very well also.

Florida_Man,

would you fill in the blanks for me on the .25 Hybrids:
For the photo above, what velocity and range to the gel block?

Wished people were using 10% ballistic gel (like the Alphabet org), as the 20% is more "optimistic" with hollow point expansion.... 😊

Thank you! This is helpful data! 👍🏼

Devin, 😊

thank you for posting this.

What was your range to the gel block?

This is very helpful data. 👍🏼

I'd love to see how many milimeters or inches the Hybrids expand at lower (more realistic) velocities, like when shooting at 50y or more....
➠ You could simply set the power a bit lower and hit the gel from close range with 850fps, 800fps, and 750fps....
That would be very sweet. 👍🏼

These were shot into gel at 30 yards. So The impact velocity was probably a bit lower than my listed 930fps muzzle velocity. I'll have to try gel impacts at 50 to 100 yards out of curiosity.

960 fps from a cricket tactical 2

My memory wasn’t great 18y and 30y in my photos and it’s 10%. I had to search my photos

I can't get those crows to group for anything. Maybe under 600fps? My .22s don't like them either. My only .25 is a pp800 that does 48fpe in short barrel / 65 in 15" barrel. 2 shots per fill 💪:ROFLMAO:

These crow magnums perform similar too . They stop quickly with a crazy wound chanel. Just over 800 fps out of .25cal hubengk1 pistol.

Slugs in general are quite eye-opening when used for hunting. Most, if not all, of the quality brands will expand very well. Taking body shots on small game at 50-60 yds (which is about as far as I like to shoot when hunting) returns the wonderful "thwack" sound upon impact and absolutely anchors the critter. It's night and day compared to my many years of hunting with regular diabolo pellets at even shorter ranges. Slug performance is truly awesome.

Only down side is the time and expense to find slugs your gun likes and to get them well tuned, and then of course the long term expense of slugs being 3-5x more expensive than quality pellets. But that "thwack" is hard to beat.
