FX ST BARREL POLISHING

I recently polished the barrel on my new FX400 and then my FX500. The 400 was not grouping like a new FX should and after trying several different pellets and a few other options I pulled the barrel off the gun and polished it with JB's Bore Paste. I was getting some erratic groups from some of the pellets it should have shot well.

I did have some trouble getting the shroud off but after that and removing the breech O-ring seal the rest of the job went well. The first thing I did as in Aj's write up was clean the barrel with a pull through cleaning system until the barrel was as clean as I could get it. Next I screwed a 22 cal bore mop on a coated cleaning rod, put a little FP10 on it and applied a liberal coating of JB Bore paste on top of the oiled bore mop. I worked from the breech end of the barrel only, concentrating on the area just inside the barrel, maybe the first couple of inches and the last 2-3 inches of the barrel. I also hit the full length of the barrel as well but not as much as the ends especially the muzzle. When the bore mop exited the muzzle about an inch I'd pull the rod back toward me and never let the mop or end of the cleaning rod exit the muzzle. My main objective was to polish the inleade and barrel port to make sure I didn't have any burrs there and to polish the choke and crown. I reapplied JB a couple of different times along the way.

After no certain time of working the barrel with the polish (probably 15-20 min) I again used the pull through cleaner until I got the barrel clean again. Be sure and clean the breech O-ring groove and barrel port of any residue as well before reassembly.

This helped the 400 immensely and the 500 as well.

I have used this on PB and it works great.
This method mentions that depending on the type of metal used for the barrel, it requires less number of pull troughs. What metal are FX ST, CZ, and LW barrels made out of? (for example the FX Impact, Vulan and Mutant) Would you use different number of pulls for each of these types when using a JB bore paste and/or chrome polish...or should go by just "feel"?
