FX superior .25 700mm superior liner twist rate, did I get scamed on AGN?

qball,

Measure the actual twist rate INSIDE the liner(use cleaning rod/wood dowel with tight-fitting patches). Sometimes the exterior twist lines aren't correct.

Always shoot the liners to judge them. 2 of the 4 STX liners I own didn't have the correct twist rate. One of them(not very accurate) was gladly and quickly replaced with liner which had the "listed" twist rate by company which advertise on AGN. The other was the best shooting pellet barrel I have ever owned, even though it is NOT the "listed" twist rate. All 3 of the Superior liners I own have the listed twist rate.

Below is a pic of the receiver end of a Superior STX next to a regular STX(slug A) liner. Notice how the exterior twist lines stop BEFORE reaching the breach end on the regular STX(slug A) liner. I don't know if all STX liners are like this or not, but it MAY be an indicator.

i don’t think the inside twist rate could be different from outside line since the inside twists are pressed in from outside. At the end of the day it has the same exact twist rate as my STX liner so there must be some sort of mistake. I’ll reach out to FX for validation also.

my 22 superior liner and my .25 700mm slug liner clearly have different twist rate compared to my STX liners. The slug liner easily measure the twist rate to be 1:21 using the same method of tracing the outside groove.

the fact the seller has not replied to me in 3 days is also pissing me off.

So how many days are you going to dilly dally before posting a NAME?

So the seller responded and apologized for not responding because he was sick. He also refunded my money plus 10 dollars for shipping even though I haven’t sent the liner back yet as I’m waiting for FX to respond to my liner question to triple confirm that it is indeed not a superior. He is definitely an upstanding seller and sounds like he got the short end of the stick and god scammed out of 3 liners from his previous transaction.

That kind of stuff just plain old pisses me off. If the guy got scammed out of 3 liners, at the risk of sounding like Yo, he needs to post the name of the scammer in this topic. It’s just sad that someone has to play games with something as stupid as a pellet liner. I guess some people consider it some kind of accomplishment in their stupid hollow lives to get over on someone. It takes a lot to push my buttons but this kind of nonsense does.

What I don’t get s all the simple, no brainer stuff, like inquiring if he had the right one like the op did, checking twist rate like the op did and what all advised, these things were all available to that seller also. It’s like one of those letters you get that you gotta pass on to the next, except this time he chanced you wouldn’t double check. I smell something fishy, man, and so far that’s two BS transactions I’ve witnessed this past month.

id happily refund you, too, like in yesterday, if someone or all were wanting you to throw out my name. If it were me and I truly felt I sold you the wrong one unknowingly, Id have shown my face on this tread and quickly plead my case, and arranged a refund on an open forum, to let all know it truly was an honest mistake, sick or not.

thats just me, though

Get this...

Many years ago I had sold a Nakamichi CD changer to a local acquaintance and it was still under warranty because I paid full retail about 3 grand for at the local audio store and he returned it the next day saying it was broken. I refunded his money $2000 and took it to that audio store for repair under warranty. Few days later I got a call saying that it wasn't the one they sold me based on circuit board serial numbers not matching the outside numbers and they have a history from the previous owner of it that matched that buyers name that they deemed cost prohibitive to repair outside of warranty. The guy denied pulling a fast one on me when I called him. Then quit answering his phone.

A $2000 lesson here. Well actually a $3000 lesson.

SKYDIVINGMIAMI- thank you for posting his up. I do have a question, though. What is the difference in PELLET LINER A and PELLET LINER B, other than the twist rates? Same length liner, same caliber, why have different twist rates for a pellet liner even?

Before I started paying attention to the different type of liners, I breiefly saw somewhere where pellet liner A was for pellet, and liner B was for slug. Didn’t sound too complex at the time I read that, maybe I read wrong.

So my questions is so I don’t get confused, why have two different types of pellet liners, and second question, is there a meaning to what A stands for and B? Why is a slug liner of 700mm in length and of 25 caliber called an A liner, and the same liner in length and caliber for pellet also called an A liner? Are there meanings to the letters?

thanks to all that help me decipher the “FX CODE”
