Just some photos of a really pretty Tarantula. It was the second PCP I purchased. Enjoy.

In my opinion, one of the classiest rifles made... rebranded under different names and also with a magazine or two shot shuttle. I have the Timberwolf, the two shot shuttle version. However.... my stock is beech. I've searched high and low for a nice walnut factory stock for mine. One day, I'll find one.

Superbly accurate and reliable. Just a joy to shoot.

Now FX guns like something from the Power Rangers.

These older FXs were simple and reliable and pretty damn efficient. Really good magazine system as well, not the plastic Marauder stuff they use now.

I have a Tarantula here that I'm resealing for a friend after all these years. All it needed was a single oring in the fill check valve.

Wish FX still made stuff like this, but unfortunately the Tacticool stuff is here to stay it looks like.

Just the weird backwards cocking effort took some time to get used to kinda like a QB and fact it doesn't like loading Beeman Kodiak H&N Baracudas get really stuck in the breech beware trying to load heavy pellets! You really need to size them first!

One of mine in 22 is an absolute laser with the 14.3gr Crosman pointeds in the 175 count tins consistent sub 3/8" to occasional 1/4" at 50 yards. Does really well with Wal-Mart Crosman Premier Hollowpoints too.

Sized 18.1gr JSB and AA 300 yard accuracy capable with 2 others I got. It is unbelievable for an unregulated gun just like the Theoben Rapids and Shin Sung CareerII 707s and Eun Jin Sumatras. Old school at their finest. Extremely pellet friendly freakishly accurate barrels too. They don't make them like this any more.

Nice rifle!. I've got one too and the stock is beautiful.. Never liked shooting it because I didnt want to scratch the stock.. All my shooting ( hunting) is done from inside house out a open window or door or truck front seat.. It is so stupid accurate its crazy..

Easy fix.... I'll trade you my beech stock that you wont have to worry about scratching! 😉

I know, I know.... but I have to try.

I put the compensator on it as a thread protector. The silver band at the muzzle is an adapter that allows further moderation if desired. Not really necessary, but it wasn't quite as quiet as it might have been for the place I was living prior to my liberation from the Bay Area. The adapter, of course, is removable.

It's a sweet rifle. The previous owner was a PCP fanatic from Hawaii, but his name escapes me. I have 5 magazines for it. Still holds air perfectly, too. I have a number of PCPs, some of which are the "power rangers" style, but I really like the classic looks of this one, as well as the killer wood. Lovely trigger, as well. Do you suppose the walnut is Turkish?

I believe they were Turkish walnut

Im a big fan of the FX2000 variants, got an ARS Thor, FX Tarantula in .22 and 177 and Webley Spectre. The stocks were done by Terelli in Italy, on the old YF Yraah or someone else posted a good history or them. It would be hard to produce such a gun now a days at a reasonable cost. Probably the closest today is the Huntsman but they're not all blued or hand checkered or an AA S4/5 10.
