Just got impact needing help. I haven't touched anything it's how i received it. First off it has the slug kit installed if that matters. When I cock the rifle and go to feel for the first stage, the trigger sets itself and will go off with the slightest touch or fire completely making it unsafe. The only way to rest trigger without firing is if I pull back the handle then the trigger would resest. The power wheel shoots the same on all the setting which is 880-900 fps doesn't matter if I screw in the adjustment screw or not still shoots same speeds. Regulator is a bit low at 80bar with huma regulator installed. All the fx Guru's out there what is your diagnostic? Thanks in advance

I don't remember which screw does what but some one has it adjusted to be a single stage and to short if you have a manual I think it tells you which screw does what or you could lay the gun with the trigger panel up and remove the panel and you can see which screw does what and see what it is doing when you're done so the safety checks and keep it point in a safe direction

depending on caliber youll have to increase reg pressure.

Last grub screw behind the trigger is what you need to adjust. { second stage let off } turn in counter clockwise to Increase to get the let off you wish. I have mine adjusted so that when I come back to the second stage, the trigger sets. Next pull, fires the gun. The trigger in the FX guns are their only flaw. My trigger acted up after about 50 shots. Trigger would stick and not release. One other thing, you usually have the adjust the first and second stage in tandem. Actually the last or second stage grub screw is just a fake second stage I've removed mine completely someone probably either shortened the spring or replaced it it's possible to remove it and still have the seat resting safely and have plenty of pull my trigger is really nice single stage do this at your own risk though because if it's adjusted wrong it can be unsafe

I have given up on getting a good two stage trigger on my Impact. I have spent several hours adjusting back and forth and any and all attempts to produce a good two stage trigger have ended with a two stage that is too much tension on the first stage, a ton of creep and a mushy second stage.
I can get a great single stage trigger on it but I prefer a two stage. I have settled on the single stage while I contemplate polishing the sear parts and cutting the spring down a bit, then attempt a two stage adjustment again.
I find it odd that I can produce a great two stage trigger on my Maverick despite the extra parts on the trigger mechanism and the operating rod, but the Impact failed completely in producing an acceptable two stage trigger.

IMO, the FX trigger is one of the oddest designs in the air rifle world. However, unlike most fake two-stage triggers, if you leave it set up for two-stage operation, you can set a reasonably fine sear engagement at the point the trigger roll comes to its first stage stop. It shares that one feature with a real two-stage trigger; i.e., the sear engagement is not at its let off point until you remove the first stage travel. For that reason alone, I usually leave my FX trigger set up as two-stage. Depending on the specific spring used, and the quality of the polished areas of the trigger roll and sear, you might have to accept a first stage that does not return forward when released, if the rifle isn't fired, which bugs some folks more than others. The only way around this dilemma is to have a real two-stage trigger with individual sears and springs, not likely to happen in an FX rifle. Obviously, you can adjust out the first stage travel to create a single stage trigger, but it's difficult to achieve a really good release without a safety risk.
