Hi,
The Wildcat III only has 1 regulator, so 1 gauge for tank pressure and 1 gauge for regulated pressure.
Wouldn't that be 2 gauges?Hi,
The Wildcat III only has 1 regulator, so 1 gauge for tank pressure and 1 gauge for regulated pressure.
All the Wildcat MK III version have two gauges. However the basic MK III has only 1 regulator, so 1 gauge for the tank and 1 gauge for the single regulator. The Wildcat MK III BT adds a bottle AND a second regulator. However it still only has 2 gauges, one for the tank (just like the MK III) and 1 gauge for the TWO regulators.Wouldn't that be 2 gauges?
The second reg has its pressure shown on the regulator gauge. In order to see the pressure setting of the first regulator you have to essentially “zero out” the second regulator. You do this by turning the second regulator screw until it is flush with the body. At this point you have bypassed the second regulator and the gauge will show the pressure of the first regulator. You can then adjust the first reg to what you want.So on the BT the regulator gauge would show the pressure for the second reg?
Right… makes sense thanks a lot!The second reg has its pressure shown on the regulator gauge. In order to see the pressure setting of the first regulator you have to essentially “zero out” the second regulator. You do this by turning the second regulator screw until it is flush with the body. At this point you have bypassed the second regulator and the gauge will show the pressure of the first regulator. You can then adjust the first reg to what you want.
Note that to now reset your 2nd reg to your desired pressure (probably 30+ Bar lower than the first reg) I would suggest degassing the system and screwing the 2nd reg screw back in (clockwise). Then when you re-gas its easy to take it up to the pressure you want By going clockwise on the screw until you get the pressure you want. While the AMP regulators can be adjusted down without de-gassing it is tedious having to dry fire a shot every 1/4 turn, and you may end up shooting out an o-ring from your breech if you’re doing that much of it. One can turn the pressure UP without dry-firing.
