Fx wildcat mkII or Edgun r5m std.

I use a r5m super long .30 with polymags. I’m shooting 800 FPS I toned it down a bit because of not wanting to wonder where the pellet went off to. The .30 is lights out dead with body shots. The other gun I use is a .25 taipan vet not sure what my power is the crony broke, lol but it plows through them not as effective as the .30 cal. It seems though there is a never ending supply of coons after the chickens 😤

Bander124 = I agree they love chicken coops I have had to help my elderly neighbors with that a lot lol.

BlackICE = The last 1 I personally shot double lungs ( Less than a week and a half ago )didn't drop in its tracks at all with the .30 cal but it only made it 20 feet or so and then took a dirt nap 😁. Man those buggers are tough haha! The head shots yes they drop and do the tail spin kick lol.

Its my honor to discuss with you

You confuse me a little about the CNC, how dificult is to extend a thing that you already have !

Alu or palstic silencer is better and cheaper ?

The weight of second stage is adjustable ?

Its easy to dissasemble the R5M but there are some tips, like shroud orientation, pins (like old english guns), water bottle to avoid scratch, EDMU risky battery change (the old model needs pressurized air), the bad quality lever springs.

The 40% of your customers in Greece get the gun because of the walnut drains ! the plastic it will be cheaper ?

Most likely my English is far of being good, that is the only reason you understood me completely vise versa regardgint CNC. What I meant was, the Bat moderator is good for me to make now JUST because I have all the models, programs and tools ready to produce them and it cost me no money to start the production. That is why the Bat is alluminium. If I would be sure it would be long run project and I would sell them thousands, no doubt I would pay molds and make them synthetic.

To me -- synthetic silencer is better based on the following reasons:

1. It is cheaper to produce, thus it is cheaper for the clients, in order he wants to replace it or buy new one or whatever.

2. It doesn't required the anodizing, that is not cheap as well.

3. It works better with high frequences sound, that makes the sound of the shot not so ringing.

4. It is easier to make them a lot for the short period of time.

5. It saves time for CNC machines, which can be used for making other parts.

Yes, one can adjust the trigger in Matador R5M or Lelay in quite a wide variations.I can adjust is with two stage, one stage movements, long or short, light or heavy, almost any way. To do it one need just to read carefully the manual.

What pins are you talking about? The bottle? So, what? If I would sell you the "special part of plastic tube" with EDgun logo for that, would you be happier? Once again, my task is to make the gun easy to be serivice by almost anybody with the right hands and some oil in the head. If not -- there are plenty of other brands in Market with services and so on, just pay. :)

EDMU risky to break the battery holder? Well, the above paragraph, where I've mentioned the right hands and some drops of oil in the head. You know, he in Russia, we say "Give the idiot the glass dick he either break it or cut his hands". Rudely? Yes, I agree, but it describes the situation clearly. Everything can be brocken with the wrong hads in...

The bad quality lever springs. So what? That is impossible to determine while making the guns, while testing that. Have you heard such a term "metal fatigue", That is it. They, who made us spring (I hope you don't think that we make them ouselves) took the wrong wire. We found it in a while, tnaks to the feedback. First what we did -- we admire the problem and replace the springs to anybody without any problem, just sending them to the address. Second I made the video explaining how to do it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSsDzS3k_fY&t=4s

That is metal, I told already, the huge corporations with the huge budgets makes time to time such a mistakes which take lives of people, remember the last thing wtih Boeing planes, crached due to mistakes in the desing and software. Only in the dreams of elfs the world around is perfect and everything should works well. Quite famouse movie in Russia:

He says "The law and order in the state determits not by the existance of thives, but the ability of the state to neutralize them!" So, here is the same, the quality of the products determints not by the absence of the fails, but the ability of the manufacturer to get feedback and improve it.

As for Greece and walnut, I have told my idea about walnuts and the "lottery priniciple". Yes synthetics will be cheaper, but not dramatically.

Ed, is this a hint at electronics in an R6 platform? Electronic valve? Electronic trigger? Electronic regulation? EDgun fans want to know

For my use, the R5M .177 STD is the best ever. Combined with 15.5 grain slugs it is just awesome.

No way! I didn't make any hints! I am just foreseeing the future of the Industry! :)

This is MY take, and my take only....

Do you want to buy one very powerful pcp, (way past 50+ fpe) built like a Russian tank, has an unbeatable trigger, and cocks a bit harder than the others, but you want to keep it forever? Buy a .25 Matador Edgun R5 regular, or long.

Do you want a high quality 40+ fpe pcp, with a beautiful stock, easy cocking biathlon lever, but tiny screws, get a .25 Vulcan.

Do you want 67+ fpe from a short rear cocking gun with an ugly but functional stock, get a .25 Veteran.

All three of these guns will give you hole in hole accuracy, and outshoot you every day of the week!

In my most humble opinion, all others need not apply. I see too many other "premium" brands on the Classifieds. That tells me something.

Kindly 'Ol Uncle Hoot

I will say 3 things first. I like synthetic stocks ( dimensionally stable and generally lighter), I’m not a fan of bottle guns (the last thing I want when hunting is working around that big bulbous blob, possibly in darkness), and I don’t like guns with rear cocking levers. So my choice is: a Matador R5M Long in .30 cal when the synthetic stocks come out. Here’s why: synthetic stock when available, front levers, an air tube, plus as I see it, I will have a multi shot pellet gun, I am 95% sure I can get it to shoot slugs, so with a single shot tray, I will also have a single shot slug gun. The Wildcat simply does not have the air capacity for the job, in my opinion.

I was going to get a .257 Texan with the now available regulated bottle, but after adding it all up the Matador will be cheaper and as I said, be a great multi shot pellet rifle and a great single shot slug gun. It should do the job on the occasional coyote (with slugs) out to100 yards or so. When used that way, I only need 1-3 good shots. I have never been attacked by a pack of coyotes, and if I am, Mr Glock will get the call.

Edgun doesn't sell a R5M in 30 yet, only 177 22 and 25. The 30 is only a bolt action single shot.

That’s what I thought, if I was ( and maybe I should) to get a 30, then right now I would buy the wildcat, because it’s available in the multi shot. But if the R5M were available in 30, it would make my decision even harder. You guys don’t really help a guy make up his mind, you just make me want to buy two or three different guns, and I can’t in no way do that. Lol. I keep going back to look at the blue laminate, and just realized it’s not a long. So the temptation to buy has subsided slightly, until I see a blue or maybe a green long.
