FX FX Wildcat MKIII BT jammed

I have owned 3 wildcats, double loading is not uncommon. When the gun is cocked already, and you try to cock it again you can feel the cocking lever is easy to pull back (no tension on the hammer spring). when this happens, you pull the magazine before pushing the cocking lever forward again and shoot the already loaded pellet, then return the magazine into the gun. I have double loaded a couple time when newer with the system, sometimes you can shoot them out, worst case scenario you pull the barrel and push them out with an appropriate size rod or dowel muzzle to breech.

Good morning/afternoon. I just registered on the forum.

I saw similar threads about jammed Wildcat, but they are for a rifle that was used with hundreds of rounds and mine is just brand new.
Three days ago I have received a new FX Wildcat MKIII BT Sniper 0.30.
Two days ago I shot all 13 FX Hybrid pallets in the original magazine that came with the rifle.
Yesterday I have loaded a second magazine (that I purchased separately and it looks slightly different) to continue sighting the scope. After 4 rounds I could not press the trigger, so thought that maybe I did not load it with a pallet and tried to load it again and the lever got stuck in the backward position (almost perpendicular to the barrel).
I can not close the lever.
I can not close it using manual's technique: in Fire mode keep the trigger pulled and gently bring the lever to original forward position.
I can not remove the magazine, even if I pull the lever a little bit backwards.
When I switch to Fire and press the trigger it just clicks and nothing else happens.
If I pull the lever 5 mm backwards (till it can not move more) I can press the trigger again (with the click).
There is a chance that now I have two pallets in the barrel, but I'm not 100% sure.
The airtank shows 160 bars.
I feel disappointed, because I wanted to get this rifle for almost 2 years and it let me down so quickly.
Call me if you can, I'll help. I speak English not too bad, I will explain to you what to do to fix the problem !!! +359895701185 Whatsapp Petar

OP please don’t blame the gun for the issue. Very few PCP’s have an anti double feed feature.
Learning the ins and outs of operating a PCP take some time and avoiding the dreaded double or multiple feed is one of the issues that needs to be mastered. I still double feed from time to time. With the FX guns I have learned to start the cocking stroke slowly feeling for the Resistance of the hammer spring. If I don’t feel it, I cock the gun and remove the magazine, close the lever and fire the gun down range and start over.

Good morning WorriedMan. How strong should I tap the dowel? With hand, a mallet or with a hammer?
Not knowing the force needed to be applied is one of the main reasons of inability to repair anything.
I'm not WM but have helped with this before. Rubber mallet is best. GRADUALLY increase tapping pressure until things start moving. I think you have more pellets jammed in there than you realize. Constantly check to see if pellet that's halfway out of magazine got pushed back into it & remove magazine when you can. THEN tap out the rest of pellets in the barrel. It might take a significant amount of pressure (tapping) to get things moving. Don't be a "gorilla" with your hammer swing but neither be afraid of gradually adding force.

The guy in the video put the rifle into pieces to remove the barrel. If I do it, I will end up with a pile of parts that will go to dump.
We have 2 vidoes posted, the first is how to take apart the entire rifle. You can just pay attention to the sections you need to remove the barrel. The second video I posted shows how to remove the barrel, and then the probe/hammer. Its a Maverick in the video but the process is the same for the Wildcat.

If you cannot remove the magazine, all you will do by tapping in a dowel down the barrel is break the magazine or worse. Assuming you have 2 or more pellets lodged in the barrel transfer-port you will just be smashing them into the magazine. Normally you can remove stuck pellets with a dowel, but the magazine and probe need to be out of the way. Since your magazine is stuck you dont have a choice, and need to remove the barrel.

If I was better at technology I would make a video for you to make it as simple as possible. I know taking things apart can be very intimidating.

So the dowel broke. Then my worker brought a fiberglass rod, but thinner. Then after a call to super nice (I mean it) Gerry52 I decided to remove the barrel.
It was ridiculously easy.
There were 3 pellets stuck there and now I know why. Probably one did not fire (I remember some slight whizzing sound after that round) then I loaded a second one for my son and the trigger would not work, so I loaded again.
I removed them with that fiberglass rod, reinstalled everything carefully and started shooting again.
I have to say that ALL of you were amazing in helping me and I never encountered so much passion on any forum.
Now I feel better.
I think I will write to FX to start manufacturing magazines made from translucent plastic. It would be easier to investigate the problem - at east to some extent. I doubt they will listen, but I could try.

Shepherd, I KNEW you could do it! After we spoke I was sure you had "the smarts" to handle it & you did (after getting over the intimidation factor & calming down your stressed out self). NOW, help keep AGN the great community it is by "paying it forward" sometime when someone needs help & you have the experience to provide it (y)
