I’m ready to place an order for a FX Wildcat MKIII Sniper in .25 for back yard target shooting and pest control, and will also be taking to the range as well... I plan to use from 15-100yds. For the money, are there any other guns I should consider before I, “pull the trigger” on this one? In any case, just looking for any suggestions You guys might have on guns under $1,500. I appreciate any suggestions or feedback. Thanks.

Get the Sniper then. Plenty of power for slugs and the Superior liner that it comes with will also give you better results with the right slug.

I have a mk4 sniper in .22 and absolutely love it under .500 groups at 67yds with jsb knockouts. Turn the power wheel down 2 clicks and it shoots hades only a little bit bigger

i really like my mk3 sniper .25.
I've mostly shot it in my 25 yard backyard range. JSB MkII Heavies and AVS 38gr cup base slugs shoot under MOA there all day.
I've taken it squirrel hunting twice, got one grey each time, with a slug through the head on one, and chest on another, and they both dropped out of the tree and didn't twitch on the ground. It was a mighty HUWHOP sound when the slug met the squirrel each time.
It is super light weight for the size, but it is a bit long. It's a lot of power too. I shoot the 38gr at 850fps for 32 shots from 240 bar to 160 bar.

i do a lot pesting on farms and already have a bunch .22 cal so buying and testing new ammo for a .25 is not ideal however i would be interested in the hitting power of the .25... anyone have any suggestions on which is better? or would it be logical to buy the dreamlite?

Hard to beat the Wildcat. If not planning on shooting slugs the compact would be my choice. I almost bought one but went with the Edgun R5M standard with synthetic stock for $1705 instead.

Im in the same boat. Have n impact Mk3 that I plan on shooting pellets with. I like the idea of the 89 plenum size for 30 cal pellets or slugs. We shoot a lot of pigeons at the ranch and often the 25 cal 34 pellets dont drop them like the 30 cal. Was looking at the crown but think I just talked myself out of that. Thinking 30 cal Wildcat MK3
