FX Wildcat scope height and zeroing - Question Answered

I've fitted the picatinny rail to my .25 FX Wildcat which replaces the normal rail altogether. However to get the correct scope picture, the scope centre needs to be very high above the barrel (at least relative to normal rifles). Thus when zeroing to say 25m, one has to crank the scope turret quite away off its factory centre, so much so that the scope's recital assembly end up pointing in such a way that when looking down the scope, the scope picture is partially eclipsed by the scope shade of my Hawke Sidewinder 30.





It seems what is needed is FX no limits scope mounts for Picatinny rails, or maybe even a Picatinny rail with some tilt in it (say 10-20 MOA)?

there is no plans to make a picatinny rail with tilt in it, However we are working to get the No-limit mounts out in picatinny and they will be available within this year.

@RichardUK where did you get the picatinny rail from ?

@FxAirguns making the rail tilt will actually open the option to use any mounts i.e. I will be using a MTC Viper Connect with MTC connect mount.

I have the standard dovetail rail with fx no limit mounts and once I center my scope I zero it at 50 yards using just the scope mounts, leaving the crosshair reticle nice and centered for any adjustments. Sounds like fx needs to get those picatinny no limit mounts out asap!

You should try medium scope rings. This will bring the scope reticle a little closer to where it needs to be without maxing out the vertical limit.
