FX FX Wildcat Sniper MkIII Regulator problem

Just took the rifle out to shoot some, First shot sounded different and no impact on target, Small target, tried another with same effect.
My fx chrony did not respond either. looked at pressures, found Rifle at 215b ok but regulator was maxed out. I degassed the rifle and got on here to see if anyone has an idea whats goin on. regulator has been set at 100 for at least a year now.

Thanks
Grump

I would remove the barrel and make sure you dont have a pellet stuck halfway in the liner. And your reg likely needs to be resealed if it is creeping. Do you have the brass reg housing or the older aluminum reg housing?
Barrell is clear, Regulator is one with brass adjusting screw. regulator gauge has never crept and stayed solid on 100 b until this happened

One thing you can try in the meantime would be to degass, turn the reg screw all the way in, gas it back up and slowly up the reg to 100 and see if it will hold. I had a reg on an avenger do what yours did one time and then it never did it again and was fine after that 🤷‍♂️
Ok I tried that and with brass screw all way in , regulator gauge reads exactly same as press gauge, just like its a straight thru path.
I cant find any you tube or other info on the wildcat newer regulator, all info predates when my rifle was produced. mine is Jan of 2021.
have not heard back from FX as of yet. I would go with the huma if I could get some installing data some ware. I cant figure out how the regulator is configured in tube with that brass connector. any dealers I could get info from? thanks for your reply .

Yeah def sounds like the reg just failed completely. Is the gun within warranty?

I would replace it with an fx amp as it should be free.
Ok ill wait and see if they get back to me. I always had velocity issues with this rifle , First 3 shots always below desired speed, then every fourth shot or so velocity would drop and impact would be inch low at 50 yds, otherwise it is very accurate avg 8 to 10mm. groups. thanks again
