What do the Wildcat offer that the Bobcat does not? I thought the Wildcat was a watered down version of the Bobcat?

Not at all. The WildCat is a different gun built for a different purpose. It lacks the shot-count and features of the Bobcat, but the result is a reduction in weight and size. Power and accuracy should be comparable. So, the question isn't which one is better, but rather which one will be better for my purposes. I honestly think that the WildCat is a better suited gun for most shooters.

So it's lighter weight, lack the shot count, cost less and lack other features of the BC? Not saying one is better than the other but it seems that if you had the BC (hypothetically speaking) there would be no need to get the WC. But then again I have a duplicate gun in the same caliber so just disregard anything I said LOL

Ted, you remind me of me. Only difference is I was doing the same thing about 15 yrs ago when new AR platforms really started to come out. I think I owned about 26 AR15's at one time and about 15 AR 10's. And few really prize possessions of powder burners. I had to ship quite a few back home, to store for a rainy day. You know it gets real bad when you have to take out insurance riders on you collection. LOL be cool man, Steve

I like the .25s length and how it most likely will still punch quite hard down range, but I'm told the .22 caliber in general will shoot more straight and therefor longer.
My needs are long range accuracy and smackingpower. 150 meters would be awesome.

The two guns will both shoot at around 900 ft/sec. Frequently, when you ask which caliber is the flattest shooting, you get told that lower calibers shoot flatter. And, this would be the case if the power was equal across all calibers, and the only difference was the barrel. BUT, given that larger caliber pellets [generally] have larger ballistic coefficients, if the muzzle velocity is the same, the larger calibers will shoot flatter. So, will the .25 WildCat shoot a LOT flatter than the .22 - no. It will likely shoot a little flatter, given that the BC of JSB .25 Kings is a little higher than the JSB 18.1 and 15.9. But, if the size and power of the .22 would fit your needs better, then you should absolutely opt for that caliber.

Since people don't have the rifles (to hold and shoulder etc) in order to ascertain the facts to answer your question with any degree of certainty, we will just have to wait.

Lots of people put/buy mounts/scopes/moderators/pellets for a rifle that are unbalanced and counterproductive to both accuracy and/or enjoyment of usage.. Buyers just need a little patience, besides being wary of marketing.

I can answer this only with my plans what will happen I keep u posted. It's a super light gun so I didn't want to put a hawke sidewinder 28 0z scope on it so to keep the weight down since my purpose will be field hunting so I ordered a vortex diamondback 4x12x40 weighs 15 0z and I never use more than 12 x power anyways pellets jsb it's a smooth twist barrel and thats it I only put bi pods on a heavyier gun whitch it's sole purpose would be for bench shooting however in the field I carry sticks whitch are like a bipod I guess for the long range shot I have a feeling I may want to use my eagle vision mount on it for documenting hunting. Then I may need to put a hawke SW tactical on it so it will thread oh and fx no limit ring with the vortex bkl with SW since I already have curious if Ted will put SW Tactical on his (or one of his?) it just such a light rifle I'd hate to put two pound scope but if I don't like the diamond back I will never used a vortex so I will let everyone know

For what it is worth, here's how I set my new MKII .25 up. It is not built to be lightweight as it will bench/rest shooter 75% of the time. I will replace the rings with adjustable height FX's when I can get some...seem to be sold out everywhere I look right now. The Hawke rings are fine, but they could be lower for better eye alignment (to each their own on this). Again, they are decent for the money and have worked great so far.....it's a minor thing right now.

I didn't spring for the Atlas bi-pod as I don't use it very often. The UTG has actually been quite impressive so far, at a fraction of the cost. If it fails me, I'll just order the Atlas. I also added metal threaded inserts into the stock before mounting the front stock rail for the bipod.

I want to keep mine as light as possible. I'm tired of carrying heavy guns in the field. If possible I would like to fit it with an MTC Viper Connect scope. It is small, has very short eye relief, and a great field of view. My only concern is connecting it properly to the dovetail rail of the Wildcat.
