Fx wildcat

I've had my .22 Wildcat for about 2-3 weeks. I have a Cricket BP and AirWolf MCT all in .22 to compare. The Widcat was a little disappointing in noise department but that is about it. I installed the 6-pack FX baffle system which weighs nothing and works extreamly well. Now my Wildcat is even quieter than my Cricket. Accuracy wise it's been a little bit of a challange due to the lightness and being top heavy. It takes more displine than my Cricket which is a full 2 pounds heavier. Once it's set right it seems the Wildcat is close in accuracy to my Cricket. Not sure I'm sold yet on the smooth twist barell but maybe someone can enlighten my as to why FX only rifles the last part of the barrel? Anyway enjoy your Wildcat and report back!

Roll on Friday then!

Get plenty of pellets.....I had never shot an air rifle with magazine and I can burn through pellets in my Wildcat pretty fast.

I am going to make a barrel cleaning tool and run some patches through, I think I saw a pellet spiral today so time for a clean.

About 600 through it so far.

How many pellets do you guys get between cleans, any consensus?

I don't know about anyone else's wildcat, but mines foul up quickly. I tried Balistol for the first time and I really didn't like the performance! It took me about 50 patches to get the barrel semi decent. I will stick with my original cleaning products. Hope you enjoy your new toy.(For the record polymags do not rotate in the mag with altering.)

So how often are you having to clean Antj?

I thought I saw a pellet spiral the other day that's why after 600 I thought I might clean.

However if Its an anomaly I am lazy and would not clean at all in a perfect world.

Steve my air rifle dealer said just shoot it and never clean it unless you have real problems which you shouldn't.

I found that interesting, particularly bearing in mind I wanted to spend money at his store buying a cleaning kit etc!

Seems like people get a very varied experience and it's down to the individual rifle in large part?

Like mine too :) I've cleaned mine 2 times after about 100 JSB 18.1. Just did it as a means to see if it was dirty and it was not bad at all. My Airwolf and Cricket BP foul more. So can someone give me the real answer as to why FX does this smooth twist thing. I'm not sold on it, and I'm not sure why they do it. Don't get me wrong, it's very accurate but I've seen the FX video when making the barrels but they never really said why they go rifle just the end.

thanks
