FX WILDCATS PROBLEM (MAG. POP OUT)

I absolutely love my .25 and .22 wildcats! With the jsb 25s and 16s they are very accurate. Loading is so simple commpared to some other air rifles (not a cricket hater but come on really). The problem that some of us are having is with magazine pop out when cycling the cocking lever. With my .25 at some point the mag will back out partially. Then the holes do not line up and it will not cycle. When I press the mag back in till it clicks lm back in business. The 22 mag will pop right on the ground at times. If you haven't read somewhere else the fix is to remove the plate on the left side of the action being careful not to lose the spring. Slightly bend the actuator arm, replace and it will work beautifully. Might as well check the sharp tip and sand it a little to prevent scratches on your magazines. Good luck shoot straight and have a Merry Christmas Roger

Hello rjohnigk. I also have a wildcat in 22 and one in 25. I have not had the 25 reject the magazine, but I have not shot more then a couple hundred rounds through it. The 22 I have shot close to 1500 rounds through. When I was first experimenting I was using jsb 14 and 15 grain pellets. with the 14 grain it would reject the magazine on occasion. When I looked at the half loaded rejected magazine there would always be one pellet backed out and the skirt was bent. I assumed it was because I had not pushed them in all the way. I also noticed I was getting a scratch on the magazine around the outside. Took the cheek pieces off and the cover under to expose the magazine indexer. Found a small burr on the indexer where it contacts the magazine so I polished that off. On observation I also noticed the spring that holds the indexer causes it to put pressure on the magazine that pushes it outward. I considered bending it slightly to relieve that pressure, but did not do that. Put it back together and continued shooting. It would still reject occasionally with the lighter pellet. Same bent skirt. ?? The lighter pellet does not shoot well in my gun so I only shoot the 15.89 pellet. It has never rejected the magazine with this pellet. I have no idea why. It just doesn't. The magazine getting ejected out on the ground is problem, but in my case was cured by shooting the heavier pellet. It will be interesting to hear if others have had this problem. I love this 22 wildcat. It will be one of those guns I keep forever.

Hello rjohnigk, I had the same issue, only twice, and it was shooting a lighter pellet. A Crossman Prem. HP and an Accupel both 14gr-ish. I was shooting these as I have had another issues arise, this one is at the top of my list. I have had a massive power drop, 900-300fps. I will post this on the manufacturers page, I am already in contact with Johan for this issue.
Good idea to get people to post issue on one thread, sorry I digressed!
