FYI on sparrow popping its FPS related

Mike how easy is it to switch tunes say from the 700fps you describe to a heavy pellet 900 tune?

I know chippies pop with 22 wadcutters @675fps
5 minutes to drop in a 22, 25, or 30 caliber barrel, Turn the regulator up to 130 bar, Test fire the gun on bench, Total time about 10 to 15 minutes ,

How far do you shoot? Think it depends on the energy at impact.

I worked hard to find where they don’t pop, it’s loud like firecrackers and I have neighbors. When I turned it down to 3fpe or 5.7 grain lead free pellets at 500 fps they stopped making the “pop” sound from 30 yards. I had loud pop even with 7 FPE.

😅can you explain the difference; for I and others?
Wadcutters vs hobby?
RWS Hobby wadcutters seem to make noise, a zipping noise when shot from my guns.

So the math is Hobby + chippy = zzzipop

Wadcutters pop at most speeds that I have shot them. My very low power stuff doesn’t get to pest so I don’t know about sub 500 fps.

70% of my sparrow shooting is at 30 yards 29 % is at 48 yards and 1 % is 70 yards on the far corner high line wire.

Had to work on my Veteran B/P 25 shooting 26 gr Hades at 900 FPS , Installed new scope rings and re sighted in , Did take a few sparrows out before the sun went down , Nice pop, I thought there was a law you couldn't shoot sparrows with a 30 caliber, Kills them to fast or something, or plutting the air with feathers yea thats it.
Just kidding folks.
