not bad 'tall for a springer .. id drop it back to 75 and if i could hit one of those pellet tins evertime id call it a keeper ....

That is mighty impressive with open sight let along a springer! Fantastic shooting there!! You must have awesome eyes, some of us can barely make out a target at 100 yards hahahaha

Yes i do, regularly. I try to rotate all my guns as well.. i think the poor old gamo may of seen its last 100y tries . Sad...
But she hammers out to 50 nice still ..
Same open sight 2-1/2" snuff can lid. 50y
Shes been a good ol girl.. but in need of piston seal now . And its not fixing itself...lol.. one tough gun.

I almost forgot the latest i got
Hatsan 95 vortex qe .22 doing 100 yards .. id never would of believed it to be honest.. it did it pretty well for what it is at a sub $200 springer . Then i got it 2ed hand .. hatsan 95 , .22 cphp, opensight ,100 yards
Not your going to win a competition , but it's on paper..lol.. not bad .

Is there some secret to getting to 100y with a Gamo? I have a pretty hard time getting accurate shots anywhere past 35y.

Open sights at 100 yards is awesome shooting for sure.
You are obviously very very familiar with that rifle!
I saw a friend do 200 yards with his Sharps black powder rifle open sights.
When a person is that familiar with a rifle it’s amazing what they can do!

Again thanks guys... Funny irons turn out better then scoped past 50y.. i just seem to get better results ..(?).

im interested in buying one of these. How many shots before you started having problems? Is there a similar .22 in the same price range youd recommend over this? Thanks.

Lots..lol... lots. Man 0n 4 years now and gosh knows how many 1000's...
Heck im still shooting it right now today . Still 50y does well. Real well. Ots just ashame the 33mm seal is only available at cas Australia for like 25$ + another 25 to mail it here .. or I'd slap one in ..
Overall the only real issue has been the rear sight not toght and kinda floppy. Ive had to shim ot up to hold things in place. Once you get it to stay where you zero it it's fine. The newer ones been improved on the rear blade to help the looseness of it. / Built a bit better ..Id say overall its been my most shot gun like i said its the first gun I grabbed today to plink around with up to 50y easy. Still at 50 it lays a smack down . Also it's been the most maintenance free .. i could cry to gamo under its 5 year warranty wile i got a few months left on that , lol... Ya, for $200 i vant overall comlpain . Heck my hw stay on the work bench more then the shooring bench then this thing heck the hw/r9 needed new guts in under a year . The gamo needs a seal but still can slap the steel at 50 hard.. you inow a good hit "DING"! Qnd easy puts in 2" open sighted with Walmart cphp all day long some good days 1-1/2".

Just to add .. if i was to do another i think id check gamo outlet on the non scoped .22 at $149.. buy 4 500 count tins of cphp then shoot them with h in the 90 day return policy on referbs . If its a good one keep it if not srnd it back or exchange for another then redo the shots . Repeat if nessary.. knowing what i do on one now thats how id try it again.
