So I bought a .177 Gamo arrow to scratch an itch for a backyard plinker. Stock it's pretty accurate shooting 8.64g H&N pellets @ about 1000fps. Too fast for what I want. As most know there is no HS adjustment, however spring replacement is the easiest option. I bought 10 springs on Ali express for next to nothing and started to clip/play with different length hammer springs and found that a 48mm long spring gives about 810fps average and 60+ shots from a 200BAR fill down to about 130BAR. Accuracy is ok with an infrequent flier. Question I have is it worth less shots and more noise to achieve VERY slight accuracy improvement or leave well enough alone and shoot quietly? What does the A.N. crew think?
