gamo does not honor warrantee

I purchased a gamo urban and the magazine had a problem. The plastic stop was defective and the pellet would not line up to the breech properly.I only had the gun two days, I spoke to a woman at gamo and she said she had my problem under review and would contact me.She never contacted me , so I left several messages that she ignored. I left my comments about this on their site and they wouldn't post it, I have many air guns and never had an issue in over 30 years. Now you know why there are so many so called refurbished gamos for sale at bargain stores. I now have it collecting dust in my closet and will never buy or recommend a gamo again.

MOD EDIT: MOVED TO DEALER/MANUFACTURER FEEDBACK SECTION

I had a different experience a year ago when I bought my Whisper Fusion Mach 1. It came with a 3X9 non AO scope and the reticle started to rotate after a few hundred shots so I called Gamo. The gal there was extremely nice and sent me a label to ship the scope back at no cost to me. After a short time a package arrived from Gamo and in it was a new scope. They upgraded it to the model with AO. My Whisper Fusion has over 15,000 pellets through it and I have only replaced the breech seal so far. I have to admit though that when I made the move to PCP I stayed away from the Urban because of the cost of their magazines and the fact that Crossman parts are easily obtained. The Marauder seemed to be a better fit for me. There is the possibility that a new magazine has been sent to you already. The gal you talked to has a protocol she has to follow and some times that can take some time so just hang in there. Anyway this plays out I don't think just letting it collect dust is the answer. Now I will tell you how I handle this type of thing if a manufacturer screws me. You go buy another magazine from the supplier of your choice. Make sure it is one you have dealt with and accepts returns. You send the one back that came with the gun as defective to the retailer in their packaging for a refund. Now before you do this make sure you tell the supervisor in the customer service dept. at Gamo and it is unlikely you will have to go through with it. I have never had to do this but one time I was fed up with the run around so I told the supervisor what I was going to do. All of a sudden they had a change of attitude. They sent a return label and replaced the product.

I also had a good experience with Gamo service dept. My Whisper Fusion Mach 1, Bought a refurbished one had a week than silencer was damaged and was breaking up. The lady I spoke with sent a RTM and 10 days later to my surprise a replacement was on my front porch. Well done Gamo service extremely good and fast service. Would recommend Gamo products with no hesitation.
