Gamo Shadow 1000 lost power

Hello. My first post here and looking for some help. I have a Gamo Shadow 1000 that's at least 10 years old and has probably been fired less than 500 times. It has lost significant power. I changed the breach seal and performed some basic maintenance; i.e., oiled spring chamber, cleaned barrel. The spring is not broken. Any suggestions on things I might try to restore power short of a complete rebuild?

Thanks.

i have a .177 gamo shadow 1000 that shoots great ! a friend got frustrated with it and gave it to me. these older gamos with all steel lockup / breech block areas - not plastic (220, 440, 890, shadow 1000, etc) are the good gamos when they offered limited lifetime warranty. not everyone knows , but getting parts from gamo is very challenging. i think they make these newer gamos so that one would have to send back into them for service. i, myself have never gotten any parts from gamo as hard as i have tried. but air rifle headquarters (macarri) has parts for these. you might consider that someone may have left it cocked , which really weakens the spring and thus power level. these mainsprings eventually loose memory when kept compressed - like being loaded, cocked and ready by the back door for days at a time. gotta be quickly ready for that squirrel shot . while most other pneumatic and co2 guns are supposed to have or be stored with at least some pressure in them, spring / piston guns do not need to be left cocked for more 20-30 min. they say with the gas rams or struts that you can leave them cocked, but i have had to replace the rams in some of these for that reason. if this place doesnt have have what you need in stock, email him and he'll make the right recommendation on which of his springs will. try here : https://www.airrifleheadquarters.com/catalog/item/251485/43077.htm ........ https://www.airrifleheadquarters.com/catalog/item/251488/5414946.htm ........... https://www.airrifleheadquarters.com/catalog/item/251488/7718385.htm - hope that helps. if you need help taking your shadow 1000 apart, let us know. - paul .
