That new gamo workout..lol

I have a whisper fusion mac1 and it either gets easier from being locked or easier from you cocking it / your arm builds up the extra muscle.. ..lol

But today I don't get the workout pain ( I got sore in my arm ) or need to do a super man 2 hand grab . I covk it just as same and easy as my others . But you can still tell it's a tad firmer still

A few days of cocking your new gamo 🤤

I love the power my Gamo swarm has but cocking it is a workout, does it get easier over time , is there anything I can do to make it easier?
how old is the swarm ? IE: how many pellets shot ?
Part 2 : how do you hold the gun while cocking ?
I hold the butt of the rifle against the crease at the top of my leg then pull the barrel straight into that crease . no easy to keep hold of the cocked barrel and swing the butt into your arm pit to safely hold the cocked gun while loading a pellet .

🤔

I'm going to have to chrony my Gamo Magnum. What pellets y'all shooting? Caliber? How many rounds through and still stock internals?

Edited in...
My Swarm Magnum in .22cal makes ~28fpe (over my chronograph) depending on pellet weight. I wouldn't say it's fully broke in, has enough shots through to have settle down and be consistent though. The gas ram is stout for sure, these aren't plinking airguns but not the worst either (when compared to "uber magnums").

One thing that can help make shooting Gamo Magnums easier would be to get a Hatsan 125 or 135 and shoot it everyday for a month or two. Then go back to the Gamo... Otherwise follow previous advice given 😅

I have a Gamo exclusive configuration in 22Cal with the 33mm Gas Piston and it likes heavier pellets best in the little testing I have done. The 21g Barracuda have been good, and it shoots Nielsen slugs at a decent speed. Id have to chrono it again to give you actual numbers since its been almost 2 years since I shot it. Accuracy is probably decent for a cheap break barrel, but Im not good at all when it comes to the artillery hold etc.

Shooting JTS DEAD CENTER. 29.32 grain

Probably 500-700 shots. Really haven’t tracked it.

I’ll shoot 5 across the Chrony tonight. And report back the numbers.

The rifle is new ,I've shot exactly 100 times I have found a technique I use to cock easier, place butt on grown use body weight as leverage.

lol. Well that’s less than I expected. But it is what it is. Still puts a hurt on the squirrels 🤷🏻‍♂️
