Gamo Urban fill probe

So I recently got a Gamo Urban and am having some trouble filling it. This is my first pcp that takes a proprietary probe. So I got the connection to attach to my air Venturi bottle, but when I insert the probe in and go to fill it blows the top o ring out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I did get it to fill if I pull the probe out some and hold it there. Hopefully there is a better solution out there.

The picture is hard to see the actual measurement between the two o-rings, if the lens is lined up with one it is going to look like it is on a different line than reality. But the distance between the two o-rings on my probe is 6.5mm. My probe inserts and has a positive stop, no leaks. The fact that if you back yours out a touch and it works make me wonder if somehow it is going in too far. Maybe a damaged/faulty/wrong probe? What does yours look like compared to this one?

Thanks for the reply Azycray. My o rings are the same distance apart but my probe is longer and the diameter is the same throughout. It is a bsa fill probe but is clearly different from yours. Is your probe pictured what came with your Gamo Urban? I just assumed a BSA probe would fit. Thank you so much for the help. I will sleep better tonight having an idea what the problem is.

You have the wrong probe. Gamo Urban, Coyote and BSA Buccaneer use the stepped probe. All other BSAs use the non stepped probes.

Yes, the pictured probe is the one that came with my Urban.

I just went through this with my buccaneer. just stack some larger O-rings to limit how much the probe goes in. My probe is limited @21.5mm and seems about right.
