Garmin crony?

Who has the best pricing on them?
i believe that the Garmin's have a set price with their distributors ..they should be the same price everywhere in the US
Ali express IS showing a lower price at 438 compared to 549 else where ...not sure what's going on there?
The Athlon (garmin clone?) should be available next month @349

I've had the Garmin for a while. I've had many, many chronos over the years and it is the best by a large margin. I did have some wonky problems, don't know if it was a firmware problem or not, and Garmin, didn't even hesitate and replaced the unit. The new one hasn't missed a beat yet.
I think in literally thousands and thousands of shots fired with it, I've missed one shot being recorded. I keep it set up on my shooting bench inside, and normally shoot short barreled rifles, but that one shot was from an exceptionally long barrel and it recorded all but one shot. I moved it forward an inch or two and it never missed again. I'm not even sure that was the problem, but let's just say, it records well over 99.99% of shots. I've never had a chrono come close to that.
I had four chronos when I bought the Garmin, some Chinese, a Combro and a ProChrony. I stacked them so that they all recorded shots at once. Four chrono's working at once and the difference in velocity from all of them was less than 2-6 fps for most of the shots. I figured out the accuracy of each one and the Garmin and the calculation was well within the accuracy of each. The Garmin IIRC is more accurate than most of the others, but I can't remember the numbers now.
I haven't tried any other radar chrono, so I can't say, if they can match the Garmin, but from my research, they cannot. I actually called Caldwell about the new radar they have and was told straight out that pellets, especially small ones, would be a problem, nuff said.
The new LabRadar, the small one, seems good on Youtube, but I have yet to see anyone shooting 177 over it. I mean what are these guys thinking. If you're testing it with pellets to show it's function, then shoot 177! If it works with that, then it works with anything. I saw a guy flipping a rubber band over it and it was giving velocity, but a rubber band is huge to a radar, and of no value to airguners. I also know the LR uses sound and/or projectile detection trigger, which "might" be a problem, but time will tell. I've not seen a single post of anyone buying one and shooting over it with pellets on the forums.

SPECTACULAR CHRONO!!!!!
Thx
Dan
Its great. My Lab Radar missed alot of pellets rifle shots and then the numbers were way off sometimes. I set up my old reliable Caldwell Pro, the new Garmin, and my Lab Radar unit. Shot with all three and the Calwell and Garmin were about the same every shot while the Lab Radar was off by more than 20fps+ on some shots.
