Hey guys here's some more pics and short descriptions that I snagged from Steve's FB page
https://www.facebook.com/hookedonair/ The Gauntlet is a pretty rifle from most any angle but the lolly pop pitting was kind of a bummer.
Clean bill of health for this engine, and just look at that ES and SD! Dauuuuumn!
To adjust the trigger one has to first remove the stock. Before one can remove the stock they've got to remove 3 screws, a bottle shroud, and align a trigger safety just right... not to mention the cumbersome rubber receiver cap when it all goes back together. Takes about 5 minutes to adjust the trigger each time. There's got to be a better way.
In all her glory, 46.25" long and 10.4 lbs scoped up.
Cheating the wind at 50 yds is easy now that the Gauntlet comes in a 45 fpe version.
The barrel may come from China but I found it to not only be excellent... it's also slick inside, an indicator of some level of finishing. Junk don't stick! Patchworm cleaning kit shown.
Break in is tough on the Gauntlet's parts... get some lube on it early on.
This is what a pound & a half sear looks like. Handle with care and check for lube... this one came bone dry.
