Does anyone have advice on converting the Crown from dovetail to Picatinny? Due to the magazine height it seems to require two pieces, one in front of and one behind the magazine.

When you tighten down the bolts on your pic base, it clamps these tightly onto the dovetail rail.

Also, you may try contacting AOA to see if they can get the Brocock dovetail to picatinny adapters(like on the Brocock Ranger). They are very nice and should work fine on your Crown:

I also use these. They typically offer the lowest adapter rise and have been rock solid on my D48 springer as well as on PCPs.
For the most secure fitment (peace of mind really) I'll let a little VC3 dry on the inside clamping lip.
