+1 for this muzzle mounted "velocity meter". I have one and it works flawlessly. However, they do only measure in meters per second and the muzzle mounted version only measures in whole meters, not tenths. Even so, I have had no problems with mine and it (any decent chronograph) is mandatory if you want to tune an air gun.

BTW, I do recommend the muzzle mounted version of this chronograph for the ease of use over the stand alone version, even though the stand alone version does measure down to tenths of a meter. Many folks have ended up shooting their stand alone versions by accident. YMMV

I have that barrel clamp inexpensive (~$35) chronograph linked above and it works great. I also have a similar one that is about the same price that can be tripod mounted. I like that one better so I can shoot groups and check velocity at the same time. I got the tripod one on Alliexpress. 

Checking for clipping and anything loose, particularly the scope mounts, would be my first step. If everything is tight and pellets are not clipping, then I would try different pellets. I don't have a Gauntlet but you might want to try some H&N or possibly Crosman pellets in it. I only have two PCPs but my Prod loves H&N FTT and doesn't care for the JSBs I've tried. My Avenger loves JSBs (and FXs made by JSB) but absolutely hates H&N FTT. Seems like PCPs, at least some of them, have strong likes and dislikes.

The inaccuracy that you are describing should not be happening at the yardage you are shooting. There is definitely more going on here and there are many troubleshooting steps that I have applied to the Gauntlet specifically that can help.

You reached out to me requesting some assistance and I offered to call you and have a phone conversation to walk you through a correction path but you have not accepted that offer.

There are way too many variables that need instantaneous feedback in order to correct a rifle such as this and the written word can be misinterpreted or misapplied by other users scouring the internet for a quick fix. I like to walk folks to a resolve and they can summarize the resolution path for others to benefit from.

At the very minimum, share what ammo you are shooting and list any and all modifications that were made to the rifle.

Hajimoto in my last message I said I had resolved the accuracy issue at 20 yards I'm shooting 1 inch groups now that's why I havent felt the need for you to call me all I did was drill a hole in the shroud and it cleaned it right up I'm getting pretty clean groups just about everything I put in it it shoots jsb 33.95 the best at 60 I'm very consistent I got a cheap chronograph and played with the power a bit as well. The issue is resolved and I do appreciate you extending the offer for a phone conversation but at this point I dont need it

You should still get a chrono. I have this one and love it! I wish I got the WiFi version though.
