Giant rats

This is the only photo I got last night as I shut my phone in the hatch of my focus and totally destroyed the screen.

Compare the size of these to that wheel barrow tire. They were taken at 35 - 45 yards with 15.89 hades out of my .22 huben last night.

They look really big. Ever weigh one? I use my fishing scale to weigh tree rates. They average about 12 ounces.

CT , great shooting ! Yes those two are good sized . I have had several like that here at my dairy permission . Ditto on the promo of John at N.E.A.'s, I got great service from him w/my Kral NP-03 that had issues w/ initial air up. I've put the rats on the back burner for now, the starlings & hosp's get most of the attention during nesting season and I'm taking any groundhogs foolish enough to be inside of 60yrds.

Yet I eat tree rats?! Go figure, maybe the furry tail makes it ok.

Those are big indeed but have you ever seen wharf rats? I was on a road trip to California many years ago when I spotted one that was as big as a small Dog. This was around 4AM in the Long Beach Pier area.

Biggest rats I ever saw were following me and a pizza outside the white house one night. Guards could only say run. It was like a wave straight out of Willard. They had to be the size of fat Chihuahuas.
