N/A Gimme a Brake

Made a brake for the HW30 I’m putting together. Turned it on the lathe and set it up on the mill with a spin indexer to drill 20 holes in it. Looks cool. I guess. Gave it a simulated target crown.
I think I need a black pistol grip cap? I decided on a recoil pad. Brown and black 1/2” thick. No white spacers on this.

Beautiful chunk of walnut you have there. Can we have a dedicated page to the guys that tinker and have tools? This is my jam right here. Too bad we can't discuss moderators tho, that's most of my lathe work lately.

Very nice!!…I think a grip cap always looks great…and I prefer the clean look of no white line spacers. Thanks for sharing…I really enjoy seeing how others do it. John
PS I’ve always called my spinner a hurdygurdy…because that’s what the guy who gave it to me called it.

Thank you, guys.
Very impressive work. Can’t wait for the finished product. Stock looks like it will be gorgeous with good figure. How did you finish the the new (nice looking) muzzle brake?
It's delrin.

1906 "BSA Air Rifle". I made the front sight on that one. Replicated the rare barleycorn front sight
