I would not trust anything pneumatic for home or personal defence.
Okay home i might be able to jerry rig something very deadly, but this side of a Zombie apocalypse i dont feel that is needed.
And personally, well criminals here are packing but i doubt they EDC anything, so i am happy with my age restricted hand 2 hand combat skills, and if need be the pocket knife i illegal carry.
Also, i have a quite relaxed perspective to life in Denmark, so if it end abrupt i would not be bothered very much.

Neighbor's dog used to come at me with teeth barred when I rode by his house on my mountain bike. I live in the country. One day I took my 9mm with me. Dog came at me on the right. I put a round in the ground on the left. The dog vanished under the front porch. From then on when the dog saw me coming he went under the porch.

Ended up the dog bit one too many visitors and the owner had to put him down.

I am sure the 177 shorty GKI will get a good 75 shots at 600 FPS or there about, I am keeping my GKI 22 caliber at or around 500 FPS shooting GTOs , I am shooting cans and targets I am not killing them LOL. I no the GKI will shoot 1000 FPS I have done it, I think pistols are made to walk around with not tied to a table with a 750 foot air hose,

Even today old players in the airgun industry won`t get this performance and definatly not from a pistol.

Just dropped a NSA .177 20.5 in my chamber it's a no go on my part, they drop to the chamber built chamber stop. Turn muzzle up it falls right out with the gate open. Not having any luck with what ammo I have on hand..

The only issue I've ever seen with my .25 it when a slug or pointed pellet goes too far forward and stops the rotation. It is doing the same thing for you? So maybe a .178 diameter would work?

Just about everything I try is a sloppy fit in my .22. I've taken to knurling my slugs by rolling them under a coarse file. It increases the diameter just enough to keep them from sliding back n forth in the magazine.

I wanted the 177 at the outset but was concerned about the availability of ammo. Unlike with 22 and up, there doesn’t seem to be any variation in diameter with 177 slugs. I had hoped that Huben would release a Peanut 177 slug to get things moving before others work out that there is a market opportunity. Also, perhaps one of you guys could measure twist. Theres a HAM article outline the method. I doubt that Huben put in sufficient twist to stabilize >13 grains.

The fixed mag on the GK1 is much more user friendly than the fixed mag on the K1. The gun is just so much smaller and lighter and the magazine is right above the pistol grip, so loading it is much easier. Add an aftermarket loading gate and it’s a very fast and easy gun to load. The K1 in comparison feels quite awkward.

Ok I got the GKI in 177 shorty ordered , I would like to know what 177 pellets fit tight in the magazine?
I found the GTO pellets in my 22 shoot the best at my 500 FPS tune, I really love the shot count lots of shots
I also plan to tune the 177 at or around 500 FPS and enjoy the great shot count, I just need to shoot the cans not kill them..
So you guys that got the 177 in your hands is there a pellet that fits tight, I do feel that is the key to a good shooting Huben pistol any any caliber is a tight fitting pellet, I dont shoot slugs in my pellet guns ,,,

As the OG GTO proponent around here, I would suggest you try the 177 GTOs.

Finding a pellet that fits is one thing, but you also have to ask if the pellet is still fixed after several jarring magazine cycles. When pellets break loose in the mag, due to that, they get chewed up. 177 lead pellets are very fragile and have a lower bearing surface to keep them seated in the mag. GTOs are as tough as nails.

I have tried to find Predator .177 pellets with little success. Amazon has 6.79gr GTOs for $29.99. The only other vendor that had them in stock was MidwayUSA. They had the 5.5gr wadcutter at $17.99 and the 6.79 round nose at $18.99. I ordered one of each from MidwayUSA but not sure the cost is something that makes sense long term for 200 pellets per tin. JSB 13.43gr and 16.2gr pellets are the tightest fitting .177 pellets that I have found for my .177 airguns. Just received my GK1 .177 from Kelly and will be testing various pellets over the next few weeks.

Most .177 slugs are .178 someone mentioned that slugs would likely need to measure .181 to fit the chamber snug

So GTO and H&N? Seneca alao makes 16gr pellets, that are 4.53

That's too bad slugs have to be that big to hold without knurling or the like. It would be cool to see a JSB Hades Monster 177 pellet come out soon. That pellet would be a good contender for hunting or pesting squirrel and vermin.
