GK1 - Huben Pistol teaser vid!

Just shot an email off to Kelly @ Krazykool.com about these new pistols not being able to be suppressed? He got back to me quickly with this response. Hope they take his advice.

Pat –

The video and info that posted a week or so ago about the release of the GK1 – “Gregor K1 Pistol” was a prototype which will be very close to the final product but possibly with a few minor changes.

I have sent 2 emails to Jacky Huben pleading for the barrel to be extended slightly and threaded ½ x 20 with a thread protector so it can be quieted.

Huben has not released any specifications or even dealer or retail pricing for the pistol, so everything is just best guesses at this point. John at NEAG was being flooded with inquiries, so he decided to take the $100 pre order route.

Personally, I was not comfortable taking deposits until I have a signed purchase order commitment with the Huben factory. Historically following the signed PO and deposit with Huben, there was a 90 day lead time to completion and shipment of K1s.

Very cool little piece. Sooooooo close to a slam dunk, but without a threaded barrel for “attachments”, not worth consideration in my book.

Yupp, that's the sad but unmovable USA-airgunners' truth:

No silencer threads — no purchase.

Just not going to happen.

Sorry, Huben, you could be having a huge market for a pistol that surpasses them all — but if I always will need ear protection to shoot it, nope — NEVER GOING TO BUY IT.

Huben, are you reading this? 😉

Matthias

PS: I mean, how hard can it be for Huben to machine a couple of threads into the barrel/shroud?!? 😄

Somehow I don't think Huben will have a problem selling out of any of the pistols they produce,.....more likely the production will not be able to keep up with sales.
