Gk1 lasted 4 days !!!!!!

I’ve had my Gk1 four days and now it won’t take air, it had been doing really well. Yesterday I shot twelve rounds at full power without issue, I had 7 mpa of air left, when I got home I noticed the air was gone. I then tried to refill the pistol and it wont take air. I contacted New England Air Gun, they had me turn the power setting all the way off to reset the pistol but it still wouldn’t refill. Anyone else had this issue?

Is it designed to function at such low remaining air pressure? 7MPa is only 70 bar. Not sure about yours, but some PCP types with conventional hammer-knocked valves can be damaged if shot with an overly low reservoir pressure.
The seller probably would have told you if this was a problem when you called, I suppose.

Good luck,
Feinwerk

@rcrawford58 No, I haven't encountered this issue. You had 7 mpa left in the reservoir? What was the reservoir pressure level when you started your shot string? It sounds to me like you shot your GK1 down wayyyy too low. I don't tend to shoot past 12mpa before refilling. The operating pressure range is covered in the owner's manual. I suggest that you read over it.

If you read the instructions before you use it, it warns you to not operate the gun below I60 bar.or there abouts. It won't fill because the valve is now jammed open. You caused this issue, not the gun. To remedy this, you need to disassemble the valve assembly and reassemble the gun.

Nothing was mentioned to me when I called about shooting at pressure, however I didn’t fire any rounds at 7 mph.

@rcrawford58 So that I am understanding you correctly, you filled the GK1 to 32 mpa, shot 12 shots, and after 12 shots your reservoir ended at 7 mpa?

I'm confused. MPH is miles per hour. I suspect you mean MPA which is an abbreviation of millipascals, escentially atmospheres or BAR. The gauge on your gun is marked 0 to 40 mpa. Your owners manual , that you obviously did not read, clearly states not to shoot the gun below 16 mpa. After your 12 shots the gauge was reading 7 mpa? If so, at least one of your shots occurred with pressure below 16 mpa. You also stated your 12 shots were at maximum power. So how did the gun get adjusted to maximum power, because it was not delivered to you adjusted that way? That indicates to me that you shot the gun many more than 12 times just adjusting the power screw.

Actually I only adjusted the power once after not getting what I thought was adequate penetration after shooting a one by four board at ten feet. was I wrong to do that, maybe. Not being disrespectful Sir but can you tell me he what page it says in the manual to not go below 16 mos? I do have some difficulty readin, I could have missed it.

You guys are impressive. Please don’t abandon the forum. I see so many times guys say and dealers say don’t jump on a forum with your problem, call the person you bought it from. Right here is an example of saving a dealer the “customer is always right” phone call and debate. We all screw up and learn from it. Instruction manuals are a mans Achilles heel.
