Huben GK1 maximum rounds so far?

I'm getting about 28-33 ft/lbs depending pellet, and Power Adjuster setting of 1.5 turns out (ccw). This power level is best for my backyard friendly.

One of the great features of the GK1 is the ability to quickly adjust power levels. The GK1 .22 can be adjusted from around 15 - 45 ft/lbs in under a minute. Take a look at this post of mine for more info on power at different Power Adjuster settings:

I have the GK1 on my short list but waiting to hear how it performs in the long run. Who has the maximum quantity of rounds shot now? Any issues?
Why the concern ?
The rifle version has been in consumer hands for a couple of years now with no real problems.
The GK1, pistol is just a smaller design of the rifle, same basic design.
Plus the Pistol design was in design and test by more than one group for at least a year, before the pistol was released.

Yes, crap happens, BUT, I bought mine with no concern of design problems.

I’ve got over 1000 pellets through my gk1. I mostly shoot at low power: 700 fps with 14.3 gr pellets (15 ft lbs). My striker spring still looks brand new. I’ve noticed guys running higher power tunes have had issues with the striker spring kinking or breaking. That’s the only part that needs upgrading. Any other issues are user error. R

A few peeps have broken mag levers by allowing them to snap down after loading. A few more have experienced striker spring breakages. Quick and easy fix in both cases. I’ve followed closely from the get go and haven’t heard of anything more substantial.

Agree, that mag lever breaking when snapped down has been an issue for some of us. I forgot to mention that in my post, but the fix was relatively straightforward. I also broke it on both my K1's. The solution is simple... Slowly lower the lever, and not snap it down.

Good point, thanks

Over a two month period, I've got close to 2,000 round on my Huben Pistol GK1 .22. I seat all my pellets, and have had no jams or other issues so far.

It's such a fun gun... One of my best airgun purchases to date!!
Wow, I doubt I would throw that much lead in my lifetime with a GK1.

I am going through ammo faster than I expected with my .25. I have about 1500 rounds through mine without a single hitch. Mostly pellets, the couple of slugs i tried also worked fine (Apolo and H+N).

Really sweet to shoot - the hammerless mechanism creates a different kind of report, much crisper / clipped sounding discharge which probably relates to its efficiency.

That is because you have not shot anything like the Huben GK1 with it's reliable, semi-auto action. I read others shooting thousands of rounds in a very short time. Now that I have the GK1 in .25, I can too attest to having about 1900 rounds thus far trouble free, shooting JSB pellets at 800 FPS with about half of them in fairly rapid fire. Yes, rapid fire, the GK1 is so easy to shoot that you can easily rapid fire and hit the bulls eye without being some extreme field target shooter that solely does target shooting all the time. Here is what you can do at 25 and 50 yards with each shot between 1 to maximum 3 seconds in between; and that is only because I was at the range and they do not want you to rapid fire, but with the moderator nobody can hear me:)

@primaz That smile reminds me of how we’d smile as kids proud of our handy work after shooting water-filled pop (soft drink) cans out back. You look like you had a ball.
That is not me but a good friend whom owns about every pistol and assault rifle whom had his mind blown away with the GK1 and air gun technology. When us casual shooters are out grouping everyone at the pistol range with a GK1 and not spending .50 to 2.00 per shot, it does put a smile on your face :)

That is why anyone owning a GK1 compared to the old technology air pistols will find themselves shooting an incredibly larger quantity of shots. The GK1 you can just keep depressing the trigger and be in the black so naturally it is way more fun to shoot quantity and smile. If you want to shoot very short field target paper the GK1 will do that but man it is way more fun to plink 400 to 700 rounds and be able to shoot out to 50 yards without being some marksman. I just sold my last non PCP pistol, my old Webley and I probably only shot 2 small tins in the entire time I owned it as it is just not as fun as the GK1. I am now buying ammo at 4 pack 350 count tins as you will just shoot this pistol way more and enjoy it.

I am burning through 25 Caliber pellets way too fast with this thing. It's a problem with the premium that you have to pay for that extra 0.03 inches of lead.

So it is arts and craft time… I just moved cross country and this is the first time I've taken the equip out since the move so i am excited to do some casting. I am going to cast some bob's boat tail hollow points. 48 gr in hollow point if i recall. It's the lightest .25 caliber mold i have and I figured it might fit OK with the drive band being a bit over .250

I don't want to shoot this gun around my home with the power necessary to get these up to speed but I've heard that they can do OK at lower velocities and I'm hoping they will work for plinking purposes.

Funny cat likes it when I shoot and sits right below the muzzle even with some of the louder guns - it's kind of a surprise. He can see things happening at the target and it catches his eye. He also keeps me company when I'm casting and loves to sit by the campfire. The guy follows me everywhere. An unusually relaxed cat

Looks exactly like my cat, he also is super mellow and just loves to hung around regardless of what I do,....loves to watch arrows strike the target

I just can't stomach purchasing tin after tin of pellets at 18 -23 bucks for 300 or so, and I have to find something I can cast for my daily plinking.

So I cast up a tin full of 50:50 hollow and solid point bbt slugs. These are the .25 50 grain variety. I wish they were lighter but, this is what I have at the moment.

The good news is they are perfect for the magazine. They are the -exact- length of the chambers and they require just a little pressure to seat them so there is no rattling and they stay right where you put them. in this respect you would think they were designed for this gun, and if anyone is looking to shoot something that is around the 48 grain weight (HP is 48, SP is 50) these seem perfect. No jams, and there was no keyholing or anything like that they are clearly flying straight at this distance.

I am not yet testing these in any kind of bench rest situation I mainly shoot this airgun freehand and standing (my favorite way to shoot once I've gotten the gun zeroed in just because of the physical challenge). Shooting this way, I was able to hit a small target from 20 yards as consistently as with pellets, but that doesn't mean much I could've just been lucky with the first magazine.

I wanted these to be a little bit on the larger size so I kept the lead slightly cooler than usual, they all seemed to fill out fine with the pressure pour ladle. This seems to fill out every mold I use it on with minimal mold prep.
