Other GK1 vs Leishy 2 250

Hello all!

So, I've convinced myself that I need a small semi-auto .22 FAC PCP just because. 😅

That said I've gone down the rabbit hole and ended up with the "best" options, the GK1 and the Leishy 2.
I know the leishy 2 is not really a pistol, but if I buy the GK1 I'll adapt a carbide stock with fast disconnect. I want to be able to shoot at 50yds with either. And I would like if it wasnt too loud with a supressor.
I know both are good with some flaws, but I'm not sure what I really should get. The main downside (to me) from the leishy is the price, and from the gk1 is the fixed mag.

You guys think that the fixed mag is not really a big problem?
Are either not that loud with an apropriate moderator, or neither are backyard friendly without a huge moderator?
Can I get the pieces to mod an GK1 in europe?

Thanks for your insight!

I have a very early arrived Leshiy2. I don't hunt with it, plinking in a backyard is minimal but I shoot target rings regularely in a gun club 99% of the time.
A lot of tinkering and clever updates, and today I can confirm that it can be a sub MOA for 50 M/Y with a bit of paying attention to a trigger control.
I have only longer barrels in both 22 and 25 (x500) also adapters to dual purpose the FX liners (x600).
In canada no moderators allowed, no matter if you use one it will still be not so quiet because the indexing mechanism using the same air pressure as the muzzle.

I have a Leshiy 2 with 22 and 30 cal barrels 450mm also 30 cal 250mm barrel. I love it as my truck gun espessially!!!! I use the 30 250mm setup the most because it is very handy in the truck. It fits in a backpack. It would still be a bit loud even with the moderator for backyard use if your neighbors are close. I know for me the 30 is way to powerfull for backyard intown use!
But Damn i like this gun! I have two Pantheras 22 and 25 and an Ibex 45 but the Leshiy is the one i use the most at this time.

I think (after eyeballing the Leshiy for a while) it’s safe to say it’s a great rifle, but is it worth the ‘current’ price?

Just because of the, lets call it: ‘influenced’ price, I feel the GK1 would be the better option at this time.

I love my GK1, but if/when the Leshiy pricing drops in the future I’ll get one of those for sure.

Do you like a good trigger or no. GK1 has a nice trigger and i have heard it is nice also as well as having one in hand. I have not heard from anyone that the leishy has a nice trigger, the gk1 one feels like a smooth ruger 22/45. Just as crisp, short reset and fast.

Actually the trigger is the worst part of the L2. It's like a revolver trigger but you can get used to it. Great woods walker/hunter but never a match rifle/pistol in my opinion. Depends on your needs and expectations. .22 250mm,
.25 350mm

Yeah exactly. Great hunter. Don’t expect sub moa at 100 without ALOT of practice

I’ve owned 2 leshiy2 and a gk1, I don’t like the L2 trigger. If they would change it I would get a new one. Both my leshiy2 are gone, I’ve still got the gk1. The gk1 trigger is way better then the L2 or Sidewinder s. The factory gk1 mod is pretty good, it’s much easier to shoot accurately for me because of the trigger. On both of the L2 I’ve owned I couldn’t squeeze the trigger otherwise it would start bleeding off

I believe the trigger is its weakest link although as PasadenaMike said with practice you can overcome the trigger issue. I can with regularity get 1/2-inch groups out to 50-60 yards. The original Leshiy had a so so trigger also but there was a spring and steel ball aftermarket thing you could do to make it better, kind of like a 2stage trigger. A firm grip and full commitment works pretty good for me with the L2.
