Going to my first match Sunday and need advice

get there early ,be friendly .they will walk you through it ,bring your gear safety glasses, rain gear try and hang with someone that likes to teach ,,youll have a ball, enjoy PAT

That seems easy enough. I see people using carts to carry their stuff around in YouTube videos. Is something like that recommend? I'm assuming there is a decent amount of moving around involved.

It's your first match its going to be an evolution. As others have stated arrive early, listen carefully to the walk through and have fun. You'll naturally observe what others are using in terms of gear and equipment and make your own decisions on which way to go. It's your first so it can only get better for you if it's what you want to do. Good luck! Post up your impressions of the match.

Sqwirlfugger57,

Rich Bassett, and all the other guys that run that club, are the deal. Very user friendly, great bunch of guys. Tell them from the get go, and they'll walk you through it. They'll put you with another experienced shooter to guide you on your way to a great time. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it, have some other prior commitments. Hope to see you there in the future, and most of all.....relax ......and have fun!!

I've only one competition under my belt (I did very well btw) but here's what I learned. Have NO expectations other than fun! Watch & learn! Allow yourself to be the best you know you can be. DON'T compare your skills to anyone else 's. You're there to compete against yourself in reality. I had a blast & we all had a great day. It's just too cool to hang with others who love this "addiction" so have a great time. (Oh, and ignore the "committee" in your head that keeps wanting to talk to you! )
