Fx impact 25 cal 700mm barrel slugliner shooting 33.95 jsb mk2 at 909 FPS out to 75 yards! Some were shot with the gun set to minimum power shooting the same pellets at 630 FPS inside one of the barns

Sweet! I'm heading to do the same tomorrow....I drove by today and starlings were in swarms at the farm....just insane how many there was!
Thinking on the Veteran long with some hybrid slugs and maybe my little FX Thor in .22 for the inside the barn work...

How does dropping the power effect accuracy? Were you close enough that it didn't really matter or perhaps you already knew the amount of pellet drop to expect?

I knew what my drop was at 50 yards from earlier in the day but had to shoot at a pile of poop to find drop at various closer ranges . It stacked pellet on pellet at 20 yards so I went for it with a 2 mil hold over ! Problem now is I want a smaller lower powered gun

I have to switch to my 12 fpe HW110 in .177 when I go inside the barn. I can’t risk shooting holes in the sheetmetal roof.i still get a lot of passthru’s even at 12 fpe but no holes from it.

I just positioned myself so that I had wood trusses behind the birds and let them rip .. worked good but will still be doing some testing with my gun to see if it will penetrate barn steel at close range . I’m hoping that the diameter of the 25 pellet at 630 FPS won’t poke a hole ! I know a 22 at that power will make a hole
