Good Housekeeping was right...

So, you know those little adhesive super slim rubber like shims and some scope mounts, typically gamo, that leave a residue on your scope? I was trying to get the residue off and rubbing alcohol wasn't working. Guess what did? Petroleum jelly! Who'd a thunk that would've worked? But it did! Left a nice shiny sheen to it also.
