So I sometimes wonder at what point customIZED becomes CUSTOM. I'd have to say this (once) Crosman 2300 might qualify as a CUSTOM, as not only are there more after-market parts than original, but its performance and actual personality have been totally transformed.
For anyone curious about the details of the transformation, the information below tracks the performance from a stock Crosman 2300 Co2 pistol through many steps, to the finished product pictured above. Not mentioned in the performance specs are the Woods & Waters custom grip and 3X Thompson Center Lobo vintage pistol scope; both of which contribute to the final product not only in form, but function. Another point worth mentioning, the PowerMax HIPAC high-pressure air conversion gizmo that simply screws into the stock C02 chamber-tube is disguised by the barrel-band covering that juncture. BTW, the PowerMax gizmo has not been available for several years.

With Boss valve, stronger hammer-spring and (home-made) power adjuster maxed out, it got:

As above, with PowerMax HiPAC HPA device installed and even heavier hammer-spring:
14.3gr JSB Express, 1500 PSI HiPac, 9 shot p-band, Lo= 541, Hi= 563, ES= 22, SD= 6, Avg= 557/9.9
After resealing with assorted valve parts to correct a leak, it got:
14.3gr JSB Exp., 1600 PSI HiPac, 10 shot p-band, Lo= 570, Hi= 601, ES= 31, SD= 7, Avg= 587/11.0
As detailed above, the PowerMax HiPAC device easily converts Crosman Co2 guns to high-pressure air by replacing the Co2 tube-cap, though hammer-spring replacements help fine tune performance with this device. This pistol averages .65 - .75” groups at 25 yards on Co2 or air.
