I read an article in the back of a hunting magazine not that long ago.One more great example how overwhelming power isn't needed when using precision properly,.........I get way more excited reading about close quarter hunts rather then long shots.
A young hunter comes back to camp with his expensive “long range” hunting rifle and comments to the older hunters that he just harvested a deer at over 600 yards away. The old timer said “Don’t be discouraged, once you learn how to hunt you’ll be able to get one in a hundred yards or less”.
