Got my 23ci bottle for the Gauntlet

Ninja tanks used to come with a bolt and you unscrewed the fill ipple ( I think it was ??? ) incerted the bolt for leverage strap wrench on bottle & turn. After a quick glance at the Internet it seem they ( everyone) now sell a removal tool that fits over the top allowing a regular ratchet wrench to be used - still need a wooden jaw vice or strap wrench but NO marks), selling for $19.00 to 50ish.

I put a Ninja Pro V2 bottle on mine - still no chrony- which is set at 1,150psi+/- and saw NO change in poi at 50 yards. Yesterday I tried to find a higher grade fastener but failed, I will be stripping the factory unit as soon as the spring washer ( which I hope are the same dia. as a Ninja) show up.

If I have time today I am going to see if I can make device to remove the OEM regulator. I have been told that you can use a 1 inch PVC pipe, cut 4 slots in it to fit around the fill tube, gauge, and burst disks. Make it about 3 inches long and at the other end drill a hole thru both side to hold a screw driver. Hold the regulator in place with the screw driver and use a strap wrench to twist off the bottle. Don't know if this works, but worth a try.

It should come off, the pro tool is mostly for the pro's where a scratch could cost them $$$, moving slow and thoughtfully will achive the same result.

This IS the original Ninja bonnet removal tool they inculde with their kit:

Unscrew bust disc ( or fill valve I dont recall) incert long bolt and use that to turn it. Works just fine.
Note that is a full rebuild kit for the original coil spring 850psi unit but that removal bolt still applys.

For bottle just google, tons of choices even CF & 4,500 - which "I" would use with mods to rifle for burst disc-

I forgot to say - some paintball shops have the removal tools and will remove your regulator for you. The tools cost $50-60 and I can't see buying one to use a couple of times.
