Got my AA 200T...WOW!

Love this little gun! First thing I did after taking it out of the box was tune it to 800fps with the JSB/AA 8.4 pellets. Mounted my 12x42 SWFA and got to shooting. First off gotta say I really like the feel of it. Very comfortable stock and nice looking as well. The finish on the gun is flawless. The trigger needs alittle adjustment in the first stage as it's alittle stiff at the first part but the second stage is nice and light. Accuracy is great! Haven't cleaned the barrel just yet but getting MOA at 30yds no problem when I do my part. This gun is going to get a lot of use and assume the more I get aquatinted with it I believe groups will tighten up even more. The bolt is ok. Not hard to pull back but it's not particularly the smoothest pull I've felt but seeing how the bolt pulls a lever back as it does I don't think there's anyway to change that. No biggie though as long as it works I'm happy :)

DB,

Congratulations on a great choice! Mine's now 6 years old, at least 10k pellets through it, and I've never had any issues with accuracy, leaks, parts issues, at all. Replaced the probe o-ring once-- that's all in terms of maintenance! Accuracy is spot on.

Mine also has a SWFA scope (10x42)-- again IMO good choice. I added a HUMA external type reg and tuned it up to 12 fpe. 50 rounds on reg, 3 to 4 fps standard deviation (seriously, I kid you not!). In terms of creature comforts, mine has a trigger shoe and a bolt from Rowan Engineering, but other than that it's stock as from the factory.

I hope you'll love the rifle as much as I do mine. Best wishes,

Matt

Dairyboy, i got basically the same set up. aa s2oo. 177. Swfa10x sf md, Tko, blinged out with Rowan engineering brass bolt, trigger. Love jsb 8.4. Fill to 180 bar and shoot 4 mags. Keep the orings on the magazines lubed to protect orings on probe. A real shooter. One ragged hole at 35 yds. Jsb 8.4 and predator poly mags shoot almost same poa. The starling are beginning to protest this gun. 49 so far this year.

Wow looking at the Rowan stuff I really like what they have! I need to hold off on those for now though lol. Later on probably will get her trigger and bolt. Also a HuMa will probably be in the future as well. Got the TKO on it now and only got 2 quick shots and it's very quiet. Later will see how much the poi changed.

Matt, My SWFA scopes are my favorite scopes for sure. I do love this gun and need to try out the 10.34s in it still. Swore I had a tin or 2 of them somewhere but haven't found them yet. Thanks for the info on the trigger adjustment and I'll be using that shortly!

John, yeah I think I'll be getting one of those trigger blades sometime as I had a similar one on my BSA R10 and loved it. And seriously one of the most comfortable stocks just fits so nicely.

Deja, you'll love it. Very very nice gun and also very easy to adjust power for indoor shooting.

Shambozzie, sounds like you have a great setup also! I don't have the mag system yet but might get one eventually. Glad to hear yours likes the Polymags! Mine at 30yds wasn't too promising with them. But I will try them again later after running more pellets through it. Good job on the starlings! Mine has taken 2 sparrows already trying to get at our tomatoes in our garden.

It occurs to me that I erred when I reported the standard deviation in this post. The SD is 3 to 4 FPS not 3 to 4 FPE (which is a lot less impressive. The gun actually produces a standard deviation of only 3 to 4 fps with the HUMA reg and current set up. My mistake! I have corrected the original post above.

I've long been in doubt between the AA 200 and the AA 200 TX (HC), after having owned an AA S410 for a couple of years. The AA200 is actually made by CZ, lovely little rifles. The only reason I ended up getting a 200TX (I wanted an AA again) is the fact that I'm pretty tall at 6'4", and the length of pull on the AA200 is way to uncomfortable for me. I still probably going to end up buying a 200 for my son in the laminated red stock.

Enjoy your new shooter, it's an excellent piece of kit! Love to see some shooting results.

Here's some 5 shot groups at 25 yds with the 8.44 JSBs and AAs I think 3 of each. Can't tell much difference at all between them so that's nice.

The top left has 2 5 shot groups and the bottom left was a 5 shot group and a single after scope adjustment.

Overall I'm happy with it only having about 50 pellets through the barrel at that point and I'm getting more and more used to it every time I take it out. I will be trying the 10.34s soon as I found 2 tins. Usually have better results from them.

I have one in .22, the 'scout' version from Top Gun Airguns which isn't available any more. It has a quirky but comfortable walnut stock, a 10 shot magazine and a very effective moderator. Only problem I had was the bolt handle getting loose and I stripped the hole for the setscew by overtightening. (Didn't realize the handle is aluminum) Ordered a new part from CZ USA, put some threadlocker on it and all's well. Mine likes JSB's (of course). Some types of pellet don't cycle well in the magazine.
