Got my new compressor today- GX PUMP E-CS4 - where is the temperature display??

I also have one of these compressors and I don’t know if I need an external water/oil separator to fill a 6.8 liter tank? I’ve read that it has its own moisture separator I believe but I don’t know for sure.

Yes it does, but I would not trust it. A good external is worth the investment.

1 hour and fifty minutes to fill a 3 liter from empty. It was warm touching the water fill cap. I suspect the compressor itself would be faster as I have one of them gold water separators which does leak . I haven’t diagnosed where yet but ordered the larger twin gold separator and filter from Ali express. Found it for $98 .View attachment 525778View attachment 525779

The copper-colored water coalescing filters tend to slow leak around what I call "ball and socket" connections from hose to cylinder. Not uncommon to strip out threads trying to tighten leaks away. Filter does a great job of bulk moisture removal so I live with it, Yong Heng doesn't seem affected. Twin filters from AliExpress are molecular sieve and simple cotton insert, neither match water coalescing filter for bulk water removal. WM

why does your compressor have an extra nipple to connect the air supply on the front face plus another nipple on the side?? look at my picture

mine has only one fill nipple on the side- the side where my charge cable is located?

are the chinese making changes?

why 2 fill nipples?

The Side thing your seeing is a burst disk.
The models are also different, I have the 4i.

i learned from the instructions that this compressor runs without engine oil unlike the yang hengs and such- it needs only grease which we need to supply and push in (better at 10hours interval then at 6hours because others had hard time running it after pushing it to early as it created to much resistance) i gathered that much ..

but what is a burst disc?

It pops when max pressure is reached. There is a little disc inside and vents through little hole. I THINK
being I never had it happen and didn’t research either. So I am assuming just looking at the spare in the bag that came with now 2 compressors

These compressors run differently than others mentioned. You can hear each stroke of the piston.
Much slower and cooler.

The lesser numbered models are solely air cooled

My GX cs4 only get to bath water temp after topping off a 45 minute tank... I think it can run 4hours continuous...

Yes, my understanding is that all models below the CS4/CS4-I are only air cooled. However, it appears the temperature gauge is only included on the CS1-I and not on the CS2 or CS3 models. Possibly due to better overall cooling on the CS2/CS3?
