Planning on buying a portable tank. Is there any reason I should choose a Great White over Air Venturi, or vice versa? Also, regardless of brand, is the extra money for the larger tanks versus the mid-sized tanks more cost efficient in the long run (fewer trips to get them filled, idk)?

I have owned both. They both are good quality tanks though I believe the gauges in the Great White are much better. I like the extra capacity as well. I think it’s for a real advantage to have the extra top off pressure available if you’re shooting 250 bar powered guns that take a lot of air.

I had the valve swapped out. I like the one from the Great White, gauge shows tank pressure and fill pressure. The pressure relief is a valve instead of a push button, the whip is a quick connect so the fill tube doesn't get kinked or have excess pressure on it.

The Great White tanks are made in America. The valves and gauges are American made as well. I believe the Air Venturi tanks are made in Korea.

The valve on my Great White definitely works easier than my Air Venturi, but it doesn’t really matter because the fill hose that to my knowledge came with the Great White fills at a very controlled slow rate.

Agreed. JB tanks are of good quality and the valves are also well made and have a "Slow-Fill" feature that only allows so much air through to lessen overfilling issues.
They are also very responsive to needs when calling.
Yes, the Great White Tank has more value as when doing the math, it's less expensive than the smaller tanks, plus you get more of an air reservoir for more top offs.
