Green Iguana in Florida......

Fox News reports that Florida is recommending killing the overpopulated Iguanas. No special permit required.

They site several reasons why. Seems like maybe a way for an airgunner to earn some cash.

I just read that on USA Today's website. They must be a problem if Florida Fish and Game issues a shoot on sight request for land owners. It's also in effect for some 22 public land areas without a permit.

You’d have to be there to see how bad the problem really is. They are everywhere! The public parks are overrun. Until now, as far as I know, it was not legal to harm them as they were “wild life”

Pretty sure I read that story before. Fortunately/Unfortunately I don’t live in S.FL. anymore. So, it’s Tree Rat Tacos for me. But you can bet your ass I’m gonna get me some when I visit the family in the near future.
