Griffen 60g Boat Tails Mushrooming

I went out today to re-sight in my Epic One .25 with the 700mm unchocked CZ barrel. I have been trying varios slugs as this will be a slug shooter and today I shot the Griffin .25 60g boat tail HP slugs. My zero is at 30 yards and I have 4 1/2" horse stall mats stacked back to back with a piece of 2" mahogany behind them as the final stop. My regulator is set at 125-130 bar for now. My fps average was 768 for 10 shots with an SD of 3.1. I was able to retireve a couple of the slugs after shooting them I was surprised that they went through 3 of the 4 mats! Most of the pellets I shoot make it through 2 but not 3 with varing calibers and pressures. What surprised me is the muschrooming of the 2 that I found. The pictures are below. The grouping was very close to hole in hole with a couyple that went outside but not by more than about .39 inches. I have an opportunity to go coyote and hog hunting at a friends ranch. We went out the other night and saw 3 bob cats, one coyote, 25 deer, 2 skunks, 3 rabbits and one opossum. The bob cats and the coyote did not get within range that we wanted to shoot so we will go out next week and try again. I will certainly be using these slugs on the larger game!

@Airgun-hobbyist - The slugs fit fine in the magazine. I'm just working through getting the gun setup. I had been shooting lighter slugs - in the 30g range - and they were not patterning like I expected and the consensus that I found out that this gun likes 60+g slugs to really perform. I will up the reg pressure to get them in the 900 range, but I'll probably try it on a few small pests - pigeons, squirrels, rabbits, skunks - before I get it up over 900fps.

@Ezana4CE - No ground covered at all. Here's the blind we were in. I felt like I was shooting at the Ritz Carlton! The blind is 10 feet off the ground and was 10x30 feet in area. We had 2 tent blinds with a space heater in each. It got down to 23 so a bit cold. Here's the view of what we were staking out. And yes those are feathers and carcasses out there! The close up area is 30-40 yards and the one to the right a bit is about 70 yards. The tree line way ahead is about 900 yards, The bob cats were at the feeder at 200 yards just past the trees on the right on the left in the opening.
