I noticed a banner leading me to a new site. I checked the new site, called the number in the contact info, and spoke with Ben - the owner. Pretty cool young man to speak with. Very personable and forthcoming in conversation. I’d ordered and shot some of his slugs, liked them and ordered more. I was happy to see that they have a 15% off orders over $25 and 20% off orders over $50 sale going on and free shipping for orders over $65. Works for me. Just thought I’d share for anyone in the market for quality swaged slugs. Centrally located in Tennessee, shipping from Griffin shouldn’t take long to reach the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Texas has been relatively quick in my experience.

@Pfddi Let us know how they shoot for you. I’m testing different weights in my M357 Bulldog right now. I like some more than others. They all shoot pretty decent so far.

@Pfddi What have you tried successfully? I had awesome luck with the avs .3063 dish base. 50 grain in my 30 uragan 2 600mm and 62.5 grain in power tuned vulcan 3 700mm 30.

@Nealgl1985 - I have both of the AVS slugs to try that came in yesterday. I have not shot any of Ben's slugs yet so I can't say. I did talk with Ben and also ordered some .22 LDC slugs for my Evol 15 that look like they will be the perfect ticket for pesting with their expansion. Ben is a very pleasant person to work with.

fwiw I used the 18g griffin's in my .177 rti slugger for quite a while at a little over 900fps (910'ish . . . ? ). They worked GREAT. I'm back to using the 13.43g ko's @present only because I had (have) a ton of 'em and they too shoot really well. But yeah - while my experience with the Grffin's were in a much smaller caliber - they were in fact quite good. Soft lead - they expand really well too. (( I already had the stock of ko's but then wanted to try something heavier - you know - just 'cause. When I saw how good they worked I bought a bunch of 'em. I finally ran out and was gonna get more but then common $en$e took over when I looked into my existing stock . . . lol . . . a year or two after the fact I may as well shoot these up and then at some point in the future buy . . . . more griffin's? ko's? I hear the zan .177's are good . . . . who knows? I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. ))

I haven't bought from Griffin in a while, but they were always good to me when I talked to them. And the ammo always just plain worked. The 357 boat tails were always at least as accurate as the reference Benjamin ammo and half the price.

Oh boy!! Ben has stepped it up! His slugs now come with the BC, sectional density, and slug length printed on the bag.

He also can put together a decent sized sample pack for you if you call and speak with him.
