Found him hiding in a hole along a fence row.
When I lived in Kentucky, there were hundreds to see everyday, all year long. Here in eastern NC, nothing!

Lived in East Tennesse for 20 years and it was rare to see a groundhog. Here in Northern Ohio they are thick. Bean fields draw them big time. Friend set traps in one 30 acre bean field and caught 32 groundhogs last summer.

Great season opener ! 3+" of new snow here , so the few that where out last week are probably back in deep snoozin' .I'm stocked , powered up & set up the Hatsan Factor RC dead on at 50 yrds w/ Rifle brand slugs . I'll go on to 75yrd zero eventually , I've got a G-hog in a rock pile that has laughed at me for several seasons ,so this may be the year .
