The FX Maverick VP .30cal is handing out defeat to this young groundhog. If you put the round through the shoulder it is all over. Did you hear that wack when the round hit the shoulder?

Great shot and video and yup, that's the sound of bones being crushed then str8 thru the vitals!

I love the thwack, but I have always liked the sound of the regulator refilling on these FX guns.

I am really impressed with their terminal performance, and I bet they still deliver results at your lower velocity.

Replayed it like 4 times to hear that "thwack"...did the slug exit or dump all it's energy into it?

It zipped straight through. You can see all of the grass kicked up on the other side as the round made it's exit.

The only 50 grainer I’ve caught, was after it blew a golf ball sized hole through a 4lb block of modeling clay. It exited, bounced off the cardboard backstop, and ended up at my feet.
