Groups with FX Bobcat .25 MK2

Finally got a decent day to put some 50 & 100 yard groups on paper. At 50 yards, groups were great with the smallest 5 shot group at 5/16" of an inch. At 100 yards, this is where that "slight wind" took its toll on the grouping. The 50 yard target I had almost no wind the first 30 yards because of the small shed ,trees, etc. but at 100 yards I had approximately 70 yards of open field with the little bit of wind pushing on the pellet. I'd estimate the "slight wind" to be 4-5 mph @ 10 o'clock position. Its amazing too see how much this little bit of wind can have so much effect on POA/POI and to be honest I thought it was humorous watching that pellet curve so much. Well, I will have to try again with the JSB .25 heavies or wait for a day with zero wind which doesn't happen much in Illinois.

About 30 minutes before it got dark I got my wish. Basically zero wind that I can feel! So I set up, opened a fresh tin of JSB .25 25.4 gr pellets, loaded pellets into magazine, and zeroed scope to 100 yards. Its hard to believe ,but here is my group. It was only a 3 shot group because I chickened out and didn't want to get that flyer. Haha! So I proceeded to make 2 more sets of groups and they were better then my 50 yard paper earlier today! Couldn't be more pleased with this rifle.

Thanks CJ for sharing some definitive accuracy info. I've shot the .30 but have been very curious about the .25. I don't think you can expect much more out of a gun than those results. I'm an Edgun guy and me and my .25 would have to be having a hell of a day to print like that @ 100 yds. Your input on the wind supports what I've said time and time again and I will way it once agiain...the wind is a bitch. Even the .30 is thrown around and this is where the gun begins to outshoot the shooter. One of the most entertaining days I have had, was an outing for pigeons, from the truck, at ranges between 98 & 104 yards. I was applying anywhere from 2 to 4 mildot hold off on 24x, in 10 to 25 mph wind. Like you, I was chuckling while watching the pellets drift 8" to 18", while arching about a foot. I had 2 clean misses before getting the hold off down and pounded 7 in a row before a wounder that required a bit of a rodeo to dispatch. 6 more down and a couple of misses, before the sheriff showed up and informed me I was too close to the road and then 1 more, when he asked if I could actually hit anything at that distance. Yes the wind is a bitch but this is what separates the men from the boys and should be in everyone's shooting regiment.
