Guantlet regulator stack.

When I was trying to properly clock my Tank on my Guantlet.22 cal SL.
I unscrewed the regulator. I could not believe how easy it was to get to , and easier to get to than the hammer spring having to take off the stock , and all. Anyway I pulled out the regulator admired the stack then put it back in. I was using the
25.4 grain Apolo pellets which were to long for the mag , so I had to use the single shot tray. I really don't like the single shot if I want to do that I'll use my Drifter , or my 392.
So I shot some H&N Crow Magnum at 18.2 grain they fit in the mag , and I got 70 shots , or 14 five shot groups from 4,400 psi to 2100 psi a few hundred psi above the set reg pressure at at 1,900 psi with an average 940 fps speed. That's a little to fast , and I want to find the sweet spot of 880 to 895 for better accuracy. I'm not going to use the 25.4 anymore , so I'm going to take a pic of the washer stack then I want to come up with a different configured stack too see if I can get in the neighborhood of 890 for that sweet spot. Is there anyone here who might have already done this , or might have some suggestions. I don't want to be stuck using the 25.4 that is on all the review videos shooting at 890 , or so. I have lots of various 18 grain pellets Dome , Hollow point , Crow ect.

Taking the 1900psi setpoint down to 1600-1700 should get you in the ballpark.

Do you have a photo or link to a photo of the regulator internals? My assumption is it is typical paintball style regulator...meaning adjustments are made by trial and error using shims.
Ok. Yes it is a paintball type , and thanks for the the reply. I just wanted to see if anyone was going to tell me don't do that , but I'm confident that I can. I'm going to use my chrony for the trial , and error , and try to the 18.2s down to a perfect 890. Thanks 😁

i just swapped out the bottle for a 0.7l carbon fiber and used a variety of AliExpress fixed regulators.
Then I tried adjustable regulators but the cheap ones on AliExpress all drifted.
Then i discovered the real Huben Power regulators. A lot more expensive but do not drift and the ones with Plenums sure made the gun consistent. The Dream 25cc plenum is a bit small for .25 but the 50cc on the ATH-Max is great.

10-4. Yeah as long as you’re fine with the trial and error nature of it, there’s nothing to it but to put in the effort.

If you’re lucky, the stack already has a couple of shims that you can experiment with removing. Otherwise you’ll have to remove a washer or a nested pair—meaning ) or ))— and then shim back up.

If you get into it and can’t quite decide how to attack it, report back with the current stack and I’ll see if I can get you pointed in the right direction.

I found the 3 shims in my regulator, and realized I did not need to mess with the stack that is held in place by the white O ring. First I removed the 2 blue shims this made the fps to low for the 18 , but was damn near perfect for the 14.3. then I replaced one of the blue shims and the 16 grain were perfect. Then I removed the brown shim , and replaced the 2 blue , and I would say from the last 2 - 5 shot groups that it was worth the trial , and error work. It's not the speed of 890 , but great 5 shot groups. #1 Average is
837.32 #2 is 834.26 the middle photo is the Crosman Premier HP 14.3 with the slip noted. The bottom pic below the Crosman groups is showing the last 2 groups with the 18 grain Apolo domed field & target.
