Gun wrap ideas 💡

Have been playing around with ideas on how to wrap guns and accessories. Have seen the adhesive camo wraps on Amazon and wanted to see the community’s ideas on how to wrap/paint/camouflage stuff.

I had some cheap leftover carbon fiber wrap I threw on the Notos cylinder and I think it came out pretty good. Want to see some of your work!

I took a picture of a small section of the Crown II stock and took that picture to a wrap place. They were able to blow it up and closely match the color to make a wrap for the barrel/shroud.
It came out great and they kept the file for any future need (I subsequently sold that rifle, but it was tough to do!).

I tried once with my S200 stock and a kit made for rifles. I failed miserably. I’m trying to get the courage up to try again
Was it one of those gunwrap.com or similar kits? I’ve seen those also and have been tempted to give those a shot. I’m pretty good with wraps (heat gun + hobby razor) but would be intimidated to try that.
I have a few that I wrapped. Might be a couple things I'm missing pics of. I've had a couple rolls of different vinyl for a couple years. I'm thinking there might be a couple projects this winter.

impressive! This is just a sheet of vinyl wrap? Was it precut for a rifle or did you just wrap and cut to size? Looks great 👍

Nice! Did you apply the wrap yourself or did they do it? Was it just meticulously laying out, adjusting, and tedious wrapping yourself did on your own? Looks great! These are awesome examples.

I have many years ago had an AR 15 that I loved , so I used several different types of material and made gun socks with elastic bands for several different looks in camo patterns. Gun socks are real easy to make , and you can switch them out quickly. The only thing I have now is my carbon fiber dipped from the factory Crossman Drifter. I really love this this little multi pump. The guy selling the snake skin rifle in the classifieds has it going on man that is beautiful.

It was, it was designed for a more traditional stock like a hunter REM 700. The S200 stock is a little different. I have a roll of matte black that I’m going to use one day and try again.

That’s the stock.

They were kind enough to show me how to wrap the shroud. It was fairly easy, so I would have had a lot of confidence in attempting it myself.
It was NOT tedious at all, it really only requires some flat bench space and some razor blade work.

Awesome work. Can you link the products? Just trying to get an idea of what you are using for these. Love it.

Sorry, no, I don't recall. I've bought from several places, and don't recall the names.
Just do a search for, "vinyl wrap", and hunt for something that you like. Most have several "sections", style wise of wrap. From a single color to rainbows !!
I remember one (?) is from Europe. I took a chance and ordered. Had it an about a week and a half.
Most all material is within about .5mm of the same thickness, so don't be too concerned with that. Just find a pattern you like...pay them.

I searched my list again and found this one. BUT, I've only bought one from them.

A good hair drier / heat gun IS required.

Have fun.

Just go on amazon and find a pattern you like and buy a roll. You will pay more for a "kit" and end up wasting a bunch due to our stocks being different shapes. I have done a few of my rifles as well as a few of my RC airplanes. They hold up really well, and are a breeze to remove if needed. There are a TON of patterns you can buy. Just prep the surface very good and take your time applying the vinyl and you will be ok. Most will have a shrinking ability so a little heat will remove most bubbles and wrinkles.
