How many people are looking at the panthera as a viable contender?
What say you guys that are actually shooting in matches now?

If you’re a serious competitor and you haven’t at least considered this gun for prs/nrl style competition you’d better bring your A game because this thing is a game changer and you best believe I’ll be running one as soon as I can get my hands on itHow many people are looking at the panthera as a viable contender?

I have had very good results with H&N barracuda match, I have been getting 1/2-3/4 inch groups at 100 as long as the wind is down, my M3 has a 600mm barrel and I’m shooting at 875fps,I have an impact m3 that I just recently got. I'm still working on the tune and finding what ammo is best but it already has GREAT potential at 100 yards.
.22 for meThe local shop near me will be getting a few of them in, and I have been looking at them.
What caliber you thinking would work best?
Yeah, the 43.5gr at 950 were VERY accurate in my old Impact with the slug A (despite the wind). 158bar, I remember that vividly. It was just difficult when the rifle would lose that fine tuning a weekend or two after (wasted a couple of Saturdays back to back trying to find that tune, and then sold the rifle LOL).I'm shooting a .25 FX Impact X with Slug A liner and Athlon Midas BTR gen2 4.5-27x scope, and NSA 43.5 slugs at 950 fps. I REALLY wanted to love the NSA 38.9 at 1000 FPS, and they were accurate, but not quite as accurate in the wind as the 43.5's at 950 FPS. I also tried the ZAN 41's from both the Slug A and Superior Heavy and neither had the accuracy of the NSA in the Slug A...

I was seriously thinking about getting .22 rimfire until I saw the threads on the Panthera and now I'm all turned around. For all the stuff I've been checking out for PCP's and FT, I'd ignored all the slug talk thinking that was just for hunters. Now I'm looking at all of this differently. The only downside is the cost and extra bits. But after comparing things, I feel like there's benefits to airguns, like cross-discipline usage and of course, pellets and slugs and even pellugs (Halo) are cheaper. Quieter and no tax stamp nonsense. Now I have to rethink my PRS ideas...
Finally found a tune that allows the M-Rod to exceed 110 flb with a.25 cal 47gr! slug! I'm going to play the Lotto now!Agree, and that shows just how talented a shooter Boyd is winning RMAC PRS with relatively low BC lightweight .22 slugs! Quite an accomplishment considering the next 5 or 6 finishers below him shot slugs with close to double the BC of the ones he used, in VERY windy conditions… The second place finisher (Dubber) was essentially shooting a .22 Rimfire with 40 grain slugs at 1050 fps.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and my own personal troll will chime in and give his opinion on the matter…?
